Janet
I sat on the couch with my nose turned up. "Did you have to bring me to such a stinky place?" I asked him.

"Oh, be quiet. It could've been much worse." I folded my arms.

"This is so stupid."

"Jesus, how are you not satisfied?"

"I'd be satisfied in a less stinky place."

"It has to be like this, dummy."

"Dummy?

"Yes, dummy."

"Ugh. You're so immature to be almost forty."

"I'm immature?"

"Yes. Very."

"Wow. You try to be nice to someone."

"You call this nice? This couch has rips and stains in it. And it stinks."

"Lord help me." He turned to me. "It has to be believable, Janet."

"This is a little too believable. I didn't scare my wife the way I did for you to have me sitting on a gross couch with garbage around me."

"Well, you won't be here much longer if Jada and JohVonnie behave the way we predicted."

"Trust me, Jada is going to flirt with Toni. Toni will more than likely use that to her advantage."

"I'm still shocked that you managed to get all of this together the way you did."

"Well, once I found out that JohVonnie and Jada were on a most wanted list, the police were more than happy to cooperate. Did they do the story the way I said?"

"Exactly the way you wrote it."

"Perfect."

"They also placed all those things in the system."

"So it says we're still married and that you've taken my money?"

"Yep. By the way, why did you have to paint me so bad?"

"It has to be believable, James." I mimicked him. He rolled his eyes.

"Don't be smart." I laughed. "What?"

"I'm just thinking about Toni's face when I tell her everything."

"Is she going to be mad?"

"A little. She'll mostly be mad that I didn't include her."

"Why didn't you?"

"Because it has to be believable. Toni would give it away if she knew and I need her to be in full character for Jada to admit to all that stuff. Toni will probably say something along the lines of 'there needs to be no secrets between us' and Jada will spill her guts."

"You think?"

"Oh I know. She wants Toni so bad that she'll do anything, even throw JohVonnie under the bus, which is what I'm hoping for."

"Good. I almost forgot how smart you are."

"Thank you." We heard a car door outside.

"Okay, back to position." James came and tied my arms and legs down. We waited until we heard the keys. "Start crying." I focused hard and felt tears come down my face. The door opened.

"James, please just let me go home. Why would you do this?"

"Shut up!"

"But I have babies, James. Please." He came and grabbed my chin.
