I'm Kidding, Babe

"Sloan—Sloan! Be careful!" Karter exclaimed as I slowly put the green solo cup on our carefully made tower of red and green solo cups.

We were currently battling Jaden and Jalen in the finale of the game as everyone around sat around on the couches, cheering us on.

When the red cup sat on the tall tower without making it fall, I fist-bumped the air, sticking my tongue out at Jaden and Jalen who only reciprocated the action.

I sat back down on the couch beside Karter—and Pierce who somehow found his way next to me.

Karter ruffled my hair slightly, "That's my girl."

"No, that's our girl," Pierce corrected, wrapping his small arms around my one as I let out a small amused laugh.

Karter leaned up from the couch, to look over at Pierce, "Keep playing and I'll tell Santa on you," she said, raising a challenging brow.

"Karter! Don't threaten him with that," Nancy scolded, but it was clear that even she was amused by the entire ordeal.

Nina shrugged, "I don't know, Pierce needs to be stopped," she said, laughing to herself.

Karter's brows raised, "See!" she said to Nancy who only shook her head with an amused smile.

"Well, I'm unstoppable," Pierce said smugly, cuddling in closer to me.

Karter furrowed her brows, "How do you even know these words—Mickey how does he know these words!" she said, earning a full-on laugh from me and even Jaden—who just so happened to be putting the last cup on his tower, forcing the entire thing to fall.

Jalen groaned, "Bro you've got to be kidding."

Karter almost immediately hopped up, doing a little dance, "Oh, yeah we won—we wonnn. In your face!" she sang as she continued to do her dance.

Jaden only rolled his eyes, "You only won because player Pierce over there is actually funny."

Karter only shook her head, dancing more as she turned to me and extended a hand, "Help me out here babe."

I shrugged, grabbing her hand and hopping up from the couch as I matched her dance, "We won—we wonnn," I sang out, dancing with Karter as Jaden and Jalen groaned in annoyance.

"You guys are actually annoying together, you know that?" Jalen said.

Karter held a hand up to her ear, "Huh? I couldn't hear you over the big fat dub we just took!"

I let out a full-on laugh, shaking my head to myself as Ryan went to say, "Karty is ruthless when she wins."

Nancy shook her head, "Tell me about it."

Micah scoffed, "Says you, she's literally just like you."

Nancy's parents, Delilah and Roland nodded, chuckling to themselves as they openly backed up Micah's point.

Serenity shook her head at Jaden and Jalen, who were making faces at Karter, "And Jaden and Jalen aren't helping the matter," she said, standing up with everyone as they gathered their things.

Ryan laughed, shaking his head as he helped clean up the rest of the cups.

As everyone began making it out of the room, I turned back to Karter who was now in a full-on argument with the twins—meanwhile, Pierce was holding my hand.

Like fingers interlaced and everything.

"Argue all you want, but Pierce is making moves on your girlfriend as we speak," Jaden pointed out, raising a challenging brow as he crossed his arms over his chest.
