The Hound struck me, but I blocked its relentless strikes with my blade charging my semblance. I released the energy along the edge and began my assault. I managed to cut off its arm, "YOU TWO HOLD OFF THE REST OF THE GRIMM! I'M GOING AFTER (Y/N)!" I shouted as I cut off the Hound's other arm and legs before sprinting toward Salem's new stronghold cutting down what felt like thousands of Grimm. "SALEM!" I shouted as I jumped to behead her, but she slapped me away, "Did you kill her already? She gave me and my minions so much trouble once upon a time. You children are so strong, but so terribly foolish." Salem laughed, "Yeah, yeah we are. Which is why I will never give up!" I snapped as I sprinted creating afterimages I slashed wildly forcing her to dodge. "(Y/N) CLOSE YOUR EYES!" I shouted and once his eyes were closed I fainted a stab but cut off her hand at the wrist freeing (y/n). I grabbed him and ran back to Blair. "TAKE HIM!" I shouted as I threw (y/n) to his aunt before slashing creating a powerful energy wave killing all the weaker Grimm in its path instantly. All that remained were the Hound and Salem. "I think it's time to stop playing around. Don't you agree, my pet?" Salem said as she petted the Hound. The Hound's back split open and something shot out and crashed hard into the ground, When the dust settled I was in shock from what I was seeing. "R-Ruby?" I said as I looked at the new Grimm before me.

"You know my Ruby? I hope she's doing well, and Yang too. A mother worries for her children." she said, "Who are you?!" Kuroka asked, "I am what remains of Summer Rose, and I beg you to please kill me." Summer said.
Blake POV
"S-Something's happened!" I said in shock, "How do you know?" Ruby asked, "I-I don't know, b-but I can just tell something's happened to (y/n)!" I said, "Then go we'll be fine." Nora said, "Go save that little cutie." Weiss said as I ran back to our base.
Adam POV
Summer's assault was relentless! It was all I could do to block her attacks, "DON'T DIE JUST YET!" She shouted as she kicked me through hordes of Grimm. She cut down Grimm and humans alike if it stood between her and me, nothing would stop her from reaching me. She laughed as she turned into black roses and sped toward me and reappeared plunging her hand through my chest and her scythe's pole into my stomach. I vomited blood when she tore them from my body. "You disappointed me. I thought you were stronger than this. I hoped you would finally be able to kill me." Summer said as I fell to the ground and felt my life slipping away. I couldn't help but cry silently. "Why are you crying? This is your doing. You once said you'd rather feel pain than inflict it on others. You'd choose to be neutral. but do you know what happens when you choose to play both sides? In the end, everyone loses. You became a hypocrite all in the name of your foolish convictions. Unwilling to admit you were wrong and you still refuse to admit you were wrong." A vision of Blair said, "Wake up Adam, the reality of things is nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world! The longer you live the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely, pain, suffering, and futility. Listen, everywhere you look in this world, wherever there is light, there will always be shadows to be found as well. We were those shadows. We caused so much pain, and for what? A singular tiny step forward at the cost of dozens of strides backward? Adam, violence was never the answer. It took death for me to learn that love was the answer. Love is the answer, it's always the answer. The war we waged, the hundreds we've killed, it was for nothing." a vision of Siena said, "Let it go. You've gotta forget about revenge. Believe me, in my life, I've met a lot of people who feel the way you do. Trust me. For those who follow the path of revenge, it never ends well. You'll only tear yourself apart. Even if you succeed and you get your revenge, what will you have then? Nothing...emptiness. You can say that I'm a fool, that I don't know what I'm talking about, but Adam, I was fighting with you for so long. I watched friends and loved ones die for no reason. I loved you and your lust for revenge against humans pushed me away. Adam, we had a family, we could have been happy, but you threw it away." A vision of Blake said as she turned away from me,"I must admit it never ceases to amaze me how brainless you can be. You've lost your weapon; why are you just lying there? Adam, what's the difference between the king and his horse? I'm not talking about the obvious like one's an animal and one's a person, or one has two legs while the other has four! It's form, ability, and power! That's what's puzzling. If their form, ability, and power are exactly the same, then why is it that one becomes the king and leads them into battle while the other becomes the horse and carries the king? So what's the characteristic that distinguishes these two beings? There's only one answer. It's instinct! In order for identical beings to develop and get stronger they need to develop a killer instinct and that instinct is mostly forged in battle! They must develop an insatiable hunger to engage in battle. They must live to mercilessly crush, shred, and slice their enemies! This thirst for power isn't an unnatural desire. No, in fact, it forms the very essence of our beings. Deep within our body lies the honed instinct to dominate and slaughter our enemies! My friend you don't have that! You used your heart to try and win a fight! You lost what made us strong! You made us weak. I refuse to play horse to the weakling we became. I was the king, but you, you threw it all away." A vision of me from Beacon said, "I-I'm...I'm not weak! I admit that I was wrong, that I was a fool for neglecting to show compassion and love and instead drew my sword!" I said as I gripped my blade and pulled myself up off the ground, "And I admit that I was a fool for walking away from the family that loved me. But I will never regret this path! I am not weak for choosing to fight with the humans rather than against them! I'll show everyone how one man can save a kingdom!" I shouted as my markings and blade began to glow blue. "This is the solution, my final solution." I said as I stabbed my blade into the ground causing all the energy I had ever stored to return to my blade and be fully released all at once in a massive explosion, "Goodbye, Blake. Goodbye, (y/n)." I said as the energy enveloped me as my mask burned away.
Blake POV
"Mama!" (y/n) cried as he clung to me, "Oh sweetheart! I'm glad I was wrong." I said, "He was kidnapped by a weird Grimm that could talk! Adam saved him from Salem, Blakey." Blair said, suddenly a massive blue explosion filled the sky, somehow I knew that Adam caused this.
After everything was said and done, Kuroka estimated that we killed well over a hundred thousand Grimm, and lost two hundred men today. "ADAM!" Lilly cried as she ran to someone. I looked over and saw Adam, his skin was pale and had cracks all over his body, he looked like he could fall apart any moment now. "Watch (y/n) please." I said as I handed (y/n) to Ruby and ran to Adam. "B-Blake, I-I want you to give this to (y/n) when he's older. I might not be his real dad, but I've always cared about him as if I was." he said as he handed me his weapons, "I want him to turn them from the blade and gun of a terrorist, the weapons of a hero. The hero I could never be." he said with a smile before he turned to ash and scattered in the wind. "H-He didn't let anyone say goodbye. That's just like him." I said as I began to cry, "We said our goodbyes before he left. I just wish I could have told him that I'm pregnant before he..." Lilly said, "Then you should take these!" I said as I tried to give her Wilt and Blush, "No, he always said that he wanted (y/n) to have them. That he wanted his son to be a better man than he was." she said.
