Chapter 13: Calm before the storm

Blair POV

I've been watching (y/n) for Blake while she talked to her team, "So tell me why we're babysitting this kid?" Aaron said as he picked (y/n) up by his collar, "Because he's my nephew, I love him to death, I promised his mother I would watch him for her, he wanted to spend time with his favorite aunt, and because I said so. Want me to continue? I have more reasons." I said as I picked (y/n) up, "Yeah I get that, but were going to get your weapon so why would we bring him?" Kenma said, "Cause it's not safe." I whispered, "What was that?" He asked, "Because this way you boys won't get any ideas." I said.

"Pretty." (y/n) said as he tried to grab a sword, "Oh no you don't." Blaze said as he picked up (y/n), suddenly (y/n) started crying until Blaze put him back down, he continued to do this until I picked him up.

"Hungry." (y/n) said, "Well guys wanna go get something to eat?" I asked, "Sure, I can eat." Aaron said, "Why not." Kenma said, "Sure, but Aaron's buying." Blaze said, "WAIT WHAT?!" Aaron shouted as we walked away.

"Man I can't believe you guys actually made me pay." Aaron said, "Hey blame Blaze he's the one who put you up to it." I said as I fed (y/n) one of my fries, "Yeah, but still I'm gonna be hurting for cash for the rest of the month!" He complained, "Here you big baby." I said as I tossed him some lien, "Thank you, Blair!" He said as he looked at the others, "Hey don't expect us to do that, she's only trying to set a good example for the kid." Kenma said.

"So are you heading back to our dorm, or are you taking him home?" Blaze asked, "I'll take him back with us, his mom could use a break." I said as I rubbed (y/n)'s back as he slept as I held him,  'And I have to keep an eye on him.' I thought, "Well um I'm sorry for how we treated you at first, truth is Aaron and Kenma though if they could get to you then you would leave and we wouldn't have to replace our former leader." He said, "I just went along with them, but after a while, we really got to know you, and well um I..." He said, "You feel in love with me I know, I've always known." I said, "B...But how?!" He asked, "You always tried to fix what you guys did to me, you were the one who made the others pay to have my sword fixed, and I found all the letters you wrote for me when I was cleaning the dorm." I said, "Well damn this is embarrassing." He said, "Don't be embarrassed, I think it's very sweet of you to do something like that for me." I said as I kissed him on the cheek.

(y/n) POV

"(y/n) sweetie lets go." Mama said, "Blake what's going on?" Auntie Blair asked, "There was an accident earlier involving...Yang." Mama said sadly, "Look I'll tell you exactly what happened later, but for now, we have to go." She said as she picked me up and left.

Yang explained to us what had happened to her and what she saw, "(y...y/n) what are you doing?" Yang asked as I looked around at her, "Yang hurt. Mama help." I said, suddenly she hugged me and started crying, "Yang sad?" I said, "No sweetie, she's just happy that you're worried about her." Mama said.

"Mama, Yang." I said, "Sweetie Yang wanted to be alone for a while." Mama said, suddenly the alarms went off and everyone began to run.

Blake POV

"(y/n) stay with Mama!" I said as I looked down only to find he was gone, "(Y/N)!? (Y/N)!" I shouted as I frantically searched for him.

(y/n) POV

"Mama." I cried as I hid in the corner of a dark alleyway, suddenly a giant grimm flew overhead and dropped something in front of me. "Puddle?" I said curiously as something crawled out of it before I knew what was going on I was confronted by a Beowolf, "Mama." I cried as it growled and slowly closed in on me.

Ruby POV

"Weiss I'm going to go help Pyrrha!" I said, suddenly my scroll began to ring, "Blake what's wrong?" I asked, 'I...It's (y/n), I...I can't find him. Oh God please I...' Blake cried, "Blake don't worry we'll help look for him and we'll bring him back to you safe and sound!" I said.

(y/n) POV

The Beowolf closed in on me and with every one of its steps I cried more and hoped Mama would make it go away, "(Y/N)!" Someone yelled, suddenly the grimm fell over and turned to smoke, "D...Daddy." I cried as he sheathed his sword.
