"What do you plan on doing after graduation?" Namjoon asked as he parked his bike outside Jin's house.
Jin had his arms wrapped around him tightly from behind like before, his head leaning against Namjoon's back tiredly. He hadn't bothered putting on a helmet, wanting to rest his body comfortably on Namjoon's. He loved the closeness and the warmth and peace he felt.
But he had to reluctantly let him go once they reached their destination, and get off, followed by Namjoon, who took off his helmet and shook out his purple hair which was brownish at the roots now.
"I plan on studying medicine at Seom University next year," Jin said, his voice dreamy and full of hopes as he looked up at the night sky with a smile, while Namjoon took hold of his bags. "I wanna become a doctor and help people."
"Wait, Seom University?" Namjoon said with great interest. "Why, I've been planning to go there too!"
Jin grinned at him with glee. "Bangtan's most gifted students study there. There's no doubt you'll get a place there. But as for me..." He deflated like a rejected puppy as he thought about himself. "It's my dream college, but I dunno if I'll manage..."
Namjoon leaned forward to look into his face with a sincere smile. "Don't forget that you're second in our year, hyung. You'll definitely get a chance at studying at Seom."
"Still, the second position will never be as good as the first one," Jin replied with a shrug and a small laugh.
"True... but you've still got time to prove yourself. More than one month. We could study together and prepare. And then we might both end up in Seom and still be together or something. We could even be roommates!"
"That sounds nice."
Jin couldn't help but feel shy at the very thought of being roommates with Namjoon. Just he and him.
"Still, I'm not letting you become first this year again, Joon-ah," Jin added in a challenging tone as he pointed a finger at him with a smirk. "I'm gonna steal your place, so watch out!"
Namjoon chuckled, before his expression became serious. "You're on, hyung."
They stared at each other with smiles as they walked to Jin's front door, Jin taking the bags holding RJ and Koya, while Namjoon carried all the designer clothes he'd gotten for the older.
"It's feels so strange to think that we seven might not even be in the same classes next year anymore," Jin said a little sadly. "Hoba and Yoongi might not even be with us and go to other universities."
"Our maknaes will become lonely without their hyungs," Namjoon said with a sympathetic smile.
"Yeah, specially Jungkook. It'll be two years before he leaves high school like us. At least Tae and Minnie will remain together."
"We'll still meet up at my place whenever we can," Namjoon said assuringly, nudging Jin gently with his elbow to make him look at him. "And you won't feel lonely, either. I'll stick to your side like a koala no matter what."
Jin giggled a little at the other's silliness, but he couldn't help but feel comforted by the younger's words. As long as he and Namjoon didn't part, he was okay. He was contented and felt safe.
"You and me- we will always be together, all right?" Jin asked with his brown eyes wide and sparkly with hope. "We'll graduate together and go to the same university. And then... then, I guess we'll still not separate."
"Hyung, you know what? Something tells me we won't." Namjoon stopped walking and the older stopped alongside him.
"What's that something?" Jin asked with a slight frown and tilted head.
"I dunno." Namjoon shrugged as he shifted all the bags he carried in one hand, using his free one to tuck a stray piece of hair falling over Jin's right eye behind his ear. "But you and me... I know we're meant to be together. Always."
"You think we'll always be like this?" Jin could barely breathe when those dragon eyes stared at him so intensely, full of meaning and affection.
Namjoon laughed at his statement and then nodded. "Yeah, something like that. We were meant to cross paths and spend the rest of the way together."
Jin smiled widely at this. "That sounds great. I'm so glad I met you, Joon-ah."
"I'm happy too," Namjoon said in a whisper.
I love you so much, Jin. And I can't wait to see what our relationship leads us to.
Joon, I know you're right about us... we aren't meant to ever separate.
Our bond will just get stronger. It's because we're not like other people. We're Jin and Namjoon.
You and me, an unending history, both of the boys thought with happiness as they smiled at each other again, not yet noticing that they were clearly showing true love for the other, as they resumed walking towards the door together.
Just a little more time, and they'd finally find out about it.
