Namjoon woke up to the ethereal singing voice coming from somewhere in the distance.
Was it a bird? A skylark? No. It sounded far more beautiful. Too unreal. Too breathtaking and heart-fluttering. Namjoon knew who it was.
His eyes fluttered open and he squinted a little, shading his eyes with a hand to help himself get adjusted to the light. When he could finally look, he met with the blue sky above. When had the sky been this beautiful?
Namjoon slowly grew conscious of his surroundings and he realized that he was lying on his back on something soft, limbs sprawled out comfortably, facing the endless blue sky and the fluffy-looking clouds like white cotton candy. Turning his head to both of his sides, he found himself resting on the soft green grass coated with dewdrops that shone in the sunshine like crystals.
Namjoon slowly pushed himself up to a sitting position, and he was surprised to find that the ache in his chest was gone. Permanently. And it was replaced by a beautiful feeling of content and happiness. He no longer felt tired or exhausted or depressed. His mind was clear, and he felt whole and healthy again, surrounded by nothing but warmth now.
A dimpled smile creeping to his lips, Namjoon looked up and saw the flocks of snow white doves flying overhead in the clear sky above. The sweet singing voice was still there in the distance, and wanting to find out the owner, the young man decided to take a walk.
He stood up slowly and dusted his flowing white shirt and pants, looking around. The beautiful green field he was standing at the center of was stretched so far that Namjoon wasn't sure if there was even an end of it or not. Not that he was complaining. He'd be glad to live here forever.
He walked down the path before him, his feet bare, looking around in amazement and admiration, hands skimming over the wild flowers growing on both sides of his way, and Namjoon's white clothes fluttered with the soft wind, his dark sleek locks swaying with every step. Namjoon could see billions kinds of butterflies flying around with their little colorful wings, lighting up the place even more.
He felt completely happy. A feeling he almost forgot existed.
The beautiful voice was nearer than ever now as Namjoon followed the sound of it, and when he reached the crystal clear stream near the waterfall, he saw the love of his life sitting under a pink cherry tree, singing happily as he made flower crowns with the wild flowers he'd gathered on his lap.
Namjoon felt his heart race wildly at the sight of the peacefulness the other male was giving off and at the love he felt surging through his veins.
He couldn't contain himself anymore. "Jinnie!" Namjoon called loudly, his mouth threatening to split into half because he was smiling so hard.
Jin's curly-haired head snapped up to look at him, his flower crown dropping onto his lap from his hands and his singing stopping. Namjoon wondered how beautiful someone could be. It couldn't be possible to be this beautiful, and yet, there was Kim Seokjin, glowing and smiling at him, tearing up a little as he looked at him.
Namjoon's little angel stood up quickly so that all the flowers that were on his lap fell from it and pooled around his bare feet, and he raced over to his lover with his clothes flying around his ethereal frame with the wind, arms outstretched towards Namjoon.
"Joonie!" Jin squealed, and their bodies collided in a tight and loving embrace, both of them never wanting to let go again.
Namjoon felt so ecstatic when he felt how warm and comforting Jin's arms felt. He no longer felt like something was standing as a barrier between them. He no longer felt empty and lonely like he'd done even when Jin used to be there with him before. Now, he finally felt complete. Finally, he'd truly reunited with his moon, after so many months of longing and waiting and breaking of hearts.
