~Ruby~

I lay on my towel taking in the sun when Asher walked over and sat by me. “You are having fun?” I nodded and we talked for a while. As we talked I wondered about him Asher was supposed to be a big tough alpha but he didn’t seem like that at all. He was more calm and fun to hang with me. I watched as everyone was either dancing, drinking, sun bathing or swimming. I sat up watching the water Asher then asked “what do you like to do for fun?” I watched the waves curl and crash. “You ever go into a hollow?” I asked he raised a brow and I stated “I’ll show you my fun.” I walked over to the house and heard him following. I grabbed my long board. Then went to the water as I paddled out Asher was on the beach watching. I turned the board around and then waited as soon as the wave started coming I paddled out. I felt my board pick up on the current and I stood up I started to surf the wave.

I watched as Ruby was surfing like a pro. Then the wave went over her head and she was in the water tunnel. “It’s called the hollow.” I heard I looked beside me seeing Anthony. “Ruby loves surfing; she said her mom taught her when she was little.” I nodded she never ceased to surprise me. “You wanna try it we have another board.” I looked out and said “I’ll give it a go.” As soon as I was out in the ocean I was having trouble balancing on the board man this was harder then she made it look. I watched as she surfed over to me then dropped into the water. “Wanna lesson?” I nodded and she sat on her board saying “first find your balance on the board.” I as balanced she stated “most people start with getting use to pushing yourself up on the board so you can stand.” I nodded I think I found a way to get my mate to spend more time with me alone.

I watched as Ruby was teaching Asher to surf. As she taught him the basics I saw that they were closer together. “So that you’re doing?” Hank asked from beside me I nodded. “Good deal.” I nodded and we sat on the sand watching the two mates in the water as Ruby taught Asher some basic surfing. It was a nice thing to see the two together.

~Jango~

I paced back and forth how dare he attack an alpha on my land. Not only an alpha but Ruby! My successor. I growled right now Nathan was at his room far away from me. I was so enraged I would rip his head off. I continued to pace as Anna sat in a chair watching me. “So what are we gonna do about Nathan?” I sighed and looked at my mate. “We can’t let this go unpunished it will say were weak.” She spoke saying “we can’t just attack an alpha during peace times either.” I sighed then heard “a challenge is an option.” I turned to Alpha Adam Dakua, “I will not subject her to that!” he smirked and said “that’s the only logical choice.” I sighed he was right Anna jumped from her seat and said “NO! I rather fight Nathan myself.” I turned to Anna was she insane! I would die before she went into a challenge. “No we will ask Ruby first.” Dakua nodded and said “alright.” He got up saying 

“They should be back tomorrow.” As soon as he left I walked to the guest house where Nathan was staying. I knocked on the door as soon as Joshua Hoodly opened the door I walked in. I stood before Nathan and his mate. They looked angered. “What are you going to do about that successor of yours Jango? She attacked me!” he dared to say. “She wouldn’t have attacked if you did not try to mark her!” he smirked and said “it’s my right to mark my mate.” I held back my growl of how I wished he was not here on peace conditions. I wanted to tear his head off. “You’re no long her mate when you mark another.” I pointed at Gracie and he smirked saying “a wolf can have more than one.” He closed my eyes and clenched my fists “ENOUGH! If Ruby agrees then there will be a challenge!” I turned and stormed to the door I stopped seeing Joshua and his wife. “Your daughter is my next alpha in line you may choose which pack you wish to join.” They nodded and Joshua looked to his wife she nodded and I was out the door. I would let Ruby have her free day with her friends but when she got back she was going straight into combat training and I would make sure an alpha I trusted would train her.

“WOOO!! ASH YOU GOTTA LEAN IN TO THE WAVE!” I shouted as he leaned the wrong way. He changed his lean and went the right way. As he was on his first wave he went straight like a new surfer would. I smiled and he sat down once his wave ended. “YES!” he shouted holding up his fists. I laughed and paddled out to the waves. As I saw a good wave I went to catch it. I caught it in time to stand I smiled and surfed through. The wave started to form a Hollow as I pulled back getting surrounded by the tunnel of water. I touched the water reaching the lines I knew all so well. My secret place was near the water by the rocks it was a simple cave where the water changed color upon the time of day. It was my mother favorite spot to go because it’s where she decided to move where she met my papa.  I jumped off the board when the wave rolled to nothing. I landed in the water and came up seeing.

Asher on his board he smiled at me and asked “you really love this?” I nodded and pulled my board over to me and got up on it. “So you think I’m getting better?” he asked I nodded and said “yeah soon you’ll be able to turn.” He smiled and shoved me off my board. I went into the water and swam under his board. I shot up and pushed hi board over making him join me in the water. As he looked at me in the water I smiled and headed for the air. Before I got there he pulled me back down and shot past me. I swam up and he got on his board. I climbed onto my board and looked at Asher. “Maybe we should work on your balance.” He laughed and I looked at the sun setting. We decided to surf to shore. As I caught the last wave I headed to shore. Once I was close enough I jumped off and carried my board to shore. Tony had the bonfire roaring by now. The sun was setting down to nothing.
