battle part 1

~Ruby~

I stayed under my new bush I had twenty rogues dead around the pack house where my friends were. I watched as two rogues walked by then I watched as the rogues with blonde hair twisted the head off the one in front with black hair. As the male dropped the blonde spat on him and said “that was for Anna pig.” Anna? As in Anna Loca? I watched as he looked around and then shouted “here’s another!”

Two men ran over and looked at the male on the ground. “what happened?” the two asked. “I don’t know he was walking fine then suddenly his head twisted and he hit the ground.” The two looked freaked out and ran. Then he sat on the ground before me and said “the women inside are safe. The humans are being protected. Nathan is the only one inside.” Why was he telling this to me?

I sighed “are you Ruby Nathan’s mate?” he asked. I shifted back and said “no… Nathan rejected me and I am mated to Asher Hoss my second mate.” he nodded and said “I thought so a she-wolf inside said something like that. before Nathan cut her off.” He then said “down.” I ducked as some Rogues walked over. “hey were leaving this place is too creepy you in?” he shook his head no. “suit yourself Oliver.”

Oliver? As in the rogue that helped Jango and Anna? They ran off into the woods and Oliver stated “there’s about twenty around the house with Nathan. The others are either hiding in the woods or spooked. Be careful.” He got up and walked away. I had to get the girls out. I sighed and went farther into the forest I ran back to the beach and shifted back into clothing. I saw the women all by the house with the kids.

Some got up and started to tend to my wounds. “no go back to your children I can handle this.” One woman took my hand and said “Alpha your with child you shouldn’t be doing this.” I growled at her saying “I can do this and I’m the only alpha here.” They backed down and nodded. “yes alpha but please be careful.” I nodded and I sat in the sand taking a breath. This was a lot of work.

~Asher~

This was insane they just kept coming! I was stuck here in the tunnel fighting through to get to my mate. I knew she wasn’t in pain I would feel it but still I needed to get to her. If he hurt her I would never forgive myself. I hit the ground and rolled over growling at the rogue before me.

As we faced off I heard Derek and Hank behind me in battle as well. I jumped up getting a good grip on the fur on his neck he thrashed trying to get me off. He swung his paws trying to knock me off I shook him and through him against the tunnel wall. I had to get to Ruby. I had to protect my mate, my child. I had to get to her nothing else mattered.

~Jango~

I slammed my paws into the ground as I reached the pack house I saw around twenty rogues in the house while about five to ten women were in one corner. I saw Sam, Jenna, Faith and Brook but no Ruby. She wasn’t there. I stayed low as I crept around the house and in the bushes. I saw a rogue by himself I showed my teeth and got ready to charge when Ruby charged out took his neck and twisted it ripping out the jugular then she was back in the woods.

I shook my head dam.. I ran after her and saw her under a log completely hidden in the front by the house view.

'Ruby..'

She turned around growling but stopped when she saw me.

'Jango… thank go are the others coming?'

I nodded and smiled at her

'yeah their on there way. I got here first what’s going on here?'

I asked she turned back to the house and I joined her.

'they showed up while I was still out probably just a few minutes after you guys left. There’s twenty inside with Nathan. The only captives are Sam, Jenna, Faith and Brook, with two other she-wolves. There are sixteen wolves hidden in the forest while the others ran off.’

I nodded

'you’ve been fighting this whole time by yourself?'

I asked she nodded

'you and the others went to fight without me but now the fight came to me. I’ve been picking off the rogues one by one.'

I sighed and she led me along the forest floor back farther into the forest. As we walked a I noticed Rogues hiding behind bushes we were behind them. I smirked Ruby was really smart. She located the rogues and found a path that would keep her safe.

I turned and took out the rogues with Ruby’s help. As we finished them off I looked at Ruby. She finished off her rogue and looked at me saying

'come on a rogue patrol of five will be heading this way soon.'

I nodded and we raced along the forest until we came to a beach. As we came to the beach I saw many she-wolves all safe.

'Where are we?'

Ruby shifted back and pulled on her new clothes. “this is my secret place I brought them here for their own protection.” I shifted back and a woman through me a pair of pants. I pulled them on and I asked “how long have they been here?” she smiled and said “since they first showed up it was the first thing I did.” I nodded she was smart she took anyone in danger out of it. “I just need to get to Nathan and the girls. Then we can end this.” I could see it in her eyes she needed to do this. I sighed and said “I’ll help anyway I can.”

~Ruby~

I smiled happy that I had another fighter. Jango and I sat down and started to plan out what to do. As I told him about Oliver he nodded saying we wouldn’t hurt the one rogue that helped us. He agreed to listen to what I say since I’ve been doing well so far. Finally someone who gets I’m not helpless.

We sat on the sand and Jango told me about the rogues blocking the tunnel when he left. How Asher and the others were fighting and he got ahead to reach me. He was to protect me and now he was going to help me. “don’t worry Ruby Asher will get here.” I nodded. I prayed he would be. “we better to get work.” I nodded. I we shifted and ran. I may be with child, I may be a female but that doesn’t mean I can’t fight.

~Asher~

I was half way through the tunnel fighting I was bleeding badly. I thought about what Ruby could be going through I tackled the next rogue and took his throat then I finally reached the end. Finally. I ran to the border line where the territories met.

West, Derek, Hank and Tony were right behind me their mates were in danger as well. We were all worried

'I hope the girls are alright.'

Tony stated as he was reach my left,

'shut up tony at least yours is marked! I just met mine!'

West screamed. He was in a panic rogues would rarely attack mated wolves but non mates were free game.

'you both are not helping.'

I growled we reached the border line seeing around ten rogues racing our way we stood our ground ready to fight when suddenly they raced past us they looked spooked.

'what was that about?'

Hank asked.
