It’s been a week since Adam and my old pack came here. Heather wasn’t my closest friend but she was a friend. I walked into the kitchen as Asher was on an important conference call with many other alpha’s I started to make some soup. I sighed and looked around. Everyone was busy and I was the only one thinking about the members who came here from running. I as I chopped up carrots I heard

“why do they leave you unguarded.” I spun around seeing Adam. “what are you doing here?” I asked he raised a brow and stated “the back door was open to a rogue that’s an invite in.” I nodded and said “they leave me alone cause I can defend myself.” He shook his head stating “no female can protect themselves. You all are weaker then us males. You should always be protected. Your fragile.” I glared he saw women like the past, weak, fragile, and gentle. “you have a lot to learn.” He turned saying “so do you.”

“HEY!” Asher walked into the kitchen growling at Adam. “get away from her..” he growled Adam looked at Asher then at me. “always protected you see.” I glared and he walked out the back door. Ash walked over to me and asked “what was that about?” I shook my head and said “he says women should always be protected.” Ash rolled his eyes and walked up to me. “I’ve seen you protect yourself plenty.” I smiled at my mate and he took my hand pulled me against him and kissed me. “now then next time the rogue comes in here…”

he began but I cut him off. “don’t worry my guard isn’t down.” He nodded and then said “what ya making?” he looked at the soup. I smiled and said “just some soup want some?” he nodded and took a bowl. As he ate the soup I cleaned up. Then I heard somone enter the kitchen. I turned around and held in my laugh there stood Tony with Sam on his back piggy back ridding. He looked happy. He also looked whipped. Ash chuckled and got up as I finsihed. “come on.” He took me to our room. As we walked in we headed to the bed room.

“so why do you have such a big bed?” I asked he smirked and said “well I um…” I watched as his face went red with embarassment. “Ash…” I stated as I sat on the bed. “promise not to get mad?” he asked I nodded and he continued “you have to promise.” I sighed and said “alright I promise.” He nodded and then stated “I was kind of a player. Before I met you…” he looked like he was a kid in trouble.

“Ash…” he looked up at me with his head still down. “you know that’s a normal thing for wolves right? It’s how males search for their mates.” He blushed and I said “your not a player any more right?” he nodded again. “then I’m not mad.” He smiled and crawled onto the bed right up to me. He tackled me down whispering “how did I get so lucky.” I smiled and kissed him. “I’m the lucky one.” He smirked and said “I beg to differ.”

~Adam~

I walked around this packs territory so many females walked around without their fathers or some protecting what was wrong with this pack even the most important female and luna the one to produce the next alpha in line was unprotected. I sighed and looked at a female walking by. Heather was talking to a shifter here. She was safe. I told her to stay at least by one male. I marked her already so I had no worries.

I walked along the path as I walked up to her she smiled at me. It puzzled me how this pack left so many females unprotected and why weren’t they in their houses keeping them in order for their males? What was wrong with this pack. Years ago when I was in a pack we had to keep the women inside and protected. While the women stayed indoors taking care of the home and making the meals the men provided.

~Sam~

I laid on the bed next to Tony who had his arms wrapped around me. I had my head against his chest as we laid there. “so Sam what do you want to do tomorrow?” he asked I smiled and said “I don’t know what do you want to do?” he smirked and said “whatever you want I don’t mind.” I kissed him.

~Jango~

I was pacing back and forth. I sent a scout to infiltrate the silver dust pack but he has yet to return. I was worried, Ruby was from there so Nathan had to be up to something not to mention Asher’s calls about the pack letting rogues in. this did not bode well at all. Anna my mate was even worried about those two. If Nathan succeeded in killing Asher I wasn’t sure if Ruby could be as strong as she is now... it could completely break her. Just like feeling their emotions you will feel your mate’s death all the pain they go through.

The agony of dying, it was doubled the pain for marked mates. I mean if you never mark your mate it would be a dull pain but when your marked you feel everything they feel all their emotions and pains. I could be on patrol and I’ll feel if Anna pricked her finger while preparing diner. I feared that is Ruby died we would all miss out on one of the best and strongest wolves I have ever known. I did not want to see that happen not now not ever. I wanted to keep her from any more pain. Ruby’s father told me her life when Ruby was ten she watched her mother die before her eyes.

She’s been through so much pain yet she still had a pure heart, she never asked for anything but all she got was pain. I did not want to see the best thing in her life get taken from her. Asher was the only good thing to happen to her since she was ten. I wouldn’t be able to live knowing I didn’t do anything to try and stop this. I walked out back and Anna asked “Jango where are you going?” I turned to my mate and said “to stop Nathan once and for all.” She walked up to me and kissed me saying “I’m going with you.” Hank my beta returned early upon hearing the news. He walked out of the woods. “no word from the scout.” I nodded and put a hand on his shoulder. “watch over the pack were going to go take care of this.” His eyes widened “we don’t know what their up to sir! You both could be killed!”

“that something I’m willing to risk. If we don’t return tell Ruby she has to rule another pack.” He nodded and I ordered “YOU ARE NOT TO FOLLOW NO ONE IS! AND YOU ARE NOT TO SPEAK OF THIS TO ANYONE!” he nodded taking in the command. Anna took my hand and nodded. We both shifted and raced into the forest. We had to stop this for Ruby’s sake.

~Hank~

I watched as my Alpha and Luna ran into the forest. I prayed they would come back safely, I didn’t need this Nathan had to go he just had to. He was causing so much trouble around here. I wanted him gone forever. I let out a soft growl and walked into the pack house. Brook ran up to me and gave me a kiss asking “is everything alright?” I didn’t want to worry such a beautiful creature and I couldn’t tell her any ways. “yeah.” I lied. Please let this end… please.
