~Ruby~

West sat on the chair as he explained what he saw at that packs home. “there everywhere rogues it’s no longer a pack it’s a dictatorship. There taking women and abusing them you wouldn’t believe it. It took all my will power and my men to hold in our anger just to now go down and start fighting. But there was one rogue we saw he kept pushing the men away from the women.” I nodded “what did he look like?” I asked “he was blonde around six foot.” I nodded and listened to the other scouts tell the stories they saw.

All were worse than the next, I sighed and dismissed them. Asher looked at me and said “the pack alpha’s are on their ways with some men they can’t send them all but they can send their best.” I nodded and West walked out. I sat in the chair as the tears washed down my face. How could I continue this life when the woman who helped me through so much is no longer with us.

I didn’t know how Jango was dealing with all of this. I didn’t know if I could deal with losing my soul mate. Asher was my life I mean we have a baby on the way now. I sighed and whipped the tears away. Asher walked in and said “Alpha Dakua is here.” The door opened and Adam Dakua walked in with his men. “I understand a lovely little Luna is with child!” he walked up to me and hugged me.

I smiled at my friend and he said “I would like for you to meet my beta Rick and my warriors.” I smiled and bowed to them the Beta was out when I went to his territory. Asher then led him over to the study I walked out to get some air. I walked to my room and walked in. I rubbed my stomach and looked down at it. ‘please be a good baby.’ I thought thinking about my mother, my father, how I turned out then to my old alpha, my old life how Nathan turned out. I didn’t want this to happen again. I sighed then heard “You know it different right?”

 I turned seeing Jango he was badly bruised and scarred. “what?” I asked he walked in and sat on the bed “your child all that matters is how you are to your child. And I know you will be a great mother.” I smiled and sat next to him. “will you help me raise him/ her?” he nodded.

As I sat there Jango stated “come on I got something you should see.” I raised a brow as we walked down stairs and Asher watched us walk by he was planning with the other alpha’s. Derek got up and followed us. He stayed farther behind us. Jango led me farther away from the pack house until he slowed down saying “this is Anna’s special place.” I saw it was beautiful meadow with all different colored flowers everywhere.  “I met her here.” He stated I looked around it was beautiful.

As I looked at the old meadow I saw Ruby walk up to the old oak in the center. I remembered the day I met Anna. I will never forget it…

                I was training with my father he was a brutal trainer. As we ran he lashed out at me until he ran me so far from the pack house I ended up in a meadow. I ran up the nearest tree and came nose to nose with a beautiful wolf. She was perfect… her eyes shinned at me… I could only thing one thing.. Mate. She was mine.. Forever mine. I watched as this wolf turned and jumped down she bolted into the forest and ran from me. I sighed then got tackled by my dad.

                For six weeks I returned to that meadow finding her there. Her name was Anna… Anna.. such a beautiful name for an angel. As we started to hang out together we started to fall deeper and deeper in love. Anna was so gentle. We sat on the ground before the oak in the center. I watched as she slept in my lap. I then used one claw to carve into that tree. As I carved I made two wolves. Nose to nose. Under both was our first and last initials with a heard and forever under it. I smiled at my work it was good. Anna woke up and looked at the carving she smiled and kissed me. “it’s beautiful.”

I walked over to the tree seeing the carving still there Ruby touched it and looked at me. I smiled and then walked up I used my claw one last time and above Anna’s wolf I carved a star. Then wrote above that ‘we shall shine for the other forever.’ I looked at Ruby and I walked over to the place where I told Anna about her being a star. Ruby followed it was night time now. “Anna asked me once what would happen when we passed. At the time I didn’t know what to say but in the end I told her that she would be my shining star.”

I looked up at the sky, as one of those many stars shinned down at me. Anna… she would forever me in my heart. Ruby put a hand on my shoulder and I turned to her then she said “Anna wouldn’t want us to mourn her death so I saw we avenge it. Nathan killed her so we kill him.” I smiled and continued saying “come on lets go.” I got up and she led the way. Derek smiled at us and said “ready?” she nodded. We walked back into the house I saw Asher waiting there. She walked up to him and he put his hands on her waist. They kissed and walked in. I smiled Anna would want them to be happy.

~Asher~

I led Ruby into the study with Jango following. As we stood around the map I stated “so the plan is in two weeks we go through the tunnel. We come out to Ruby’s old home. group up and surround the pack home. leaders of the groups will be an alpha each.” Ruby nodded listening the only thing was all alpha’s agreed to keep her behind. She’s pregnant and no other Luna’s would be going.

I know she will want to go but I can’t let her. I don’t want to risk losing our child or my mate. I couldn’t let her go I would be to worried about here being there then with her here. I just had to convince her now. That was going to be a bigger challenge then getting her to get up. I sighed and the alpha’s walked out one by one. “Ruby…” she turned to me and asked “what team am I leading?” oh boy..
