I sat at the counter another week has passed since the date. Tony keeps asking both Asher and Jango what they meant by saying “well see.” I smiled Anna looked at the boys playing in the back yard. “you know Asher was known was a tough alpha.” I looked at her “really but he’s so sweet?” I stated she smiled and said

“Ruby mates are always the perfect guy to their soul mate. but to the pack their tough. No one messes with an alpha because they are be ruthless killers. Now Asher to you is a sweet carrying guy, and Jango to me is a funny caring man but ask any wolf in the pack what Jango is like and they’ll all say a righteous alpha. Over the years Jango learned to lighten up on the pack and treat them like a family. Because I was with him, the same thing will happen to Asher now that he has you but it will take time. I wanted to warn you that he might now act the same around his pack at first.” I nodded and said “thanks Anna.” She smiled “don’t mention it.”

Anna was like my own mother she only had my best interest at heart. I we talked until I heard “stop asking you’ll find out when you get your mate!” Asher shouted and walked into the house. He sighed and walked over wrapping his arms around me and kissing my neck. He smiled and said “your cousin is annoying.” I lifted my hand and put it behind his head and turned my head to kiss him. “Welcome to my world.” He smiled and Tony shouted “I heard that!!” I replied saying “I know!” Asher sat by me and put his arm around my shoulders.

Anna smiled at us. Jango walked in saying “ok fine Tony every male wants to please their mate so they will change into a better person for it! Ok now you know!” Tony scoffed and said “well not me.” I rolled my eyes and noticed Asher did the same. Then Brook walked in saying “Ruby I need you for the wedding plans.” I nodded and walked after her. As I headed out Asher pulled me back quick and gave me a kiss. I smiled and he smiled back saying “see you soon.” I smiled and kissed him one more time then ran to catch up with Brook.

I watched her leave and sighed I was dying to mark her and make her fully mine but she said a month so a month it was. All I wanted was her to be happy and I knew I was doing just that. We haven’t gotten sexually active but our make outs getting pretty steamy. Not that I mind. She was happy I could feel that. We had one argument so far but it wasn’t anything big that god. I feel like an idiot about it too but it wasn’t a big fight we ended up laughing in the end and she will probably hold it over my head for the rest of our lives.

I was sitting with the pack we were having a bonfire and I was pretty wasted. We were talking about a bachelor party for Hank when Ruby and the girls walked over. Sarah a wolf who recently mated is pretty round lately we all knew she was carrying her mate’s pups. Michael her mate pulled her over and she sat on his lap. “so Michael I hear you trying for college.” Ruby stated, he nodded then one guy stated “hey I heard if your gonna be a dad that you get a free scholar ship!” me being drunk made the dumb joke. “hey Ruby maybe I can go to college for free.” Big mistake her face turned pissed, she turned and said “I don’t need this.” She walked away.

I was confused the guys were laughing. Why wasn’t she? “Asher you’re an idiot. A drunk idiot.” Sarah stated “what I do?” I asked all the guys laughed and Anna stated “Asher you’re not even mated yet!” oh crap. I got up well more of up the down on the ground then up again and ran after her. “Ruby! Wait Ruby!” I called as I caught up. “you’re an ass!” she stated and kept walking. “wait it was a joke!” I stated she glared at me and said “so getting me pregnant is a joke good to know.” I shook my head. “no! not that!” she kept walking. “will you listen!” I pulled her arm she snapped it away and said “go sober up when you want to talk cause you drunk is not helping!” with that she walked away and shifted taking off. “shit.” I stated and walked back to the others.

Thankfully we cleared it up and she wasn’t as made when I got on my knees and begged her forgiveness. But we both learned something I’m not allowed to drink around my mate and get wasted. I smirked “ASHER!!” I jumped and turned seeing Jango. “seesh I’ve been calling your name for ten minuets!” I shrugged “ok the wedding is in two weeks do you have a tux?” He asked I shook my head no. “ok well Tony and I are going shopping with the girls for the wedding outfits.” I nodded and asked “when?” Anna smiled and said “tomorrow lover boy.” I nodded and got up. I walked to the dining room where Ruby and Brook would be. Hank was there having his mate sit on his lap as they talked.

“what do you think about these for the brides maid.” Brook asked. “sure if you want a different maid of honor.” Brook sighed and said “you said that about the last three.” Ruby sighed and said “you got red flowers on the wedding dress right?” Brook nodded. “then make the brides maids red.” Brook smiled and said “ok fine.” Ruby shook her head and said “ok so tomorrow were shopping and can we please not take three hours to do so?” Ruby stated. Brook smiled and said “you know most girls like shopping.”

Ruby gave her a look the read do I look like most girls. Brook laughed and said “ok. Ok not three hours.” I smiled she was just prefect I walked in and Ruby looked right up at me with a smile. I walked over and sat behind her. “you’re coming shopping right?” she asked I nodded and kissed her shoulder. “of course.” I wrapped my arms around her shoulder from behind as she looked at the different red dresses. “which one do you think.” I pictured Ruby in each dress but one caught my eye. “what does the wedding dress look like. Brook handed me a picture of the dress. It was white with red little flowers on it and the front of the dress had some kind of red wrap thing going only on the dress I looked back to the bridesmaids and pointed. “this one.” I pointed at a ruby red dress with black designs on it, the top was v cut and had two straps for the shoulders. “ok you guys officially have the same brain.” Brook stated. Ruby smiled and kissed me cheek. She turned back to Brook and said “see even Ash agrees.”

Brook sighed and said “fine.” Hank rubbed her side and glanced at me then to Ruby. I raised a brow and he rolled his eyes he ran his hand up Brook’s side and touched her mating mark. “HANK!” Brook stated and pushed his hand away. “no not now.” He chuckled and then looked at me to Brook. Oooh. I shook my head no he sighed and mouthed. ‘why?’ I shrugged and then looked at her I mouthed back ‘not ready’ he nodded and the girls continued to talk as we talked like that. It was funny. Ruby then turned and yawned. “ok no more wedding stuff I’m going to get some sleep.” Brook nodded and said “wake up early for shopping!!” I got up and followed her. She walked into our room and I snatched her waist pushing her up against the wall. Immediately our lips connected.

I walked by Ash and Rubys room once again hearing them going on with the kissing thing. I swear when she went into heat Ash would never come out of that room. But thankfully they would be at his pack not here so I wouldn’t hear it. I walked into my room hearing the thump of them falling onto the bed. That’s the only noise you would hear if you were human but being wolves we hear the groans and moans as well. We need to sound proof that room. I know there not mated or sexually active cause my room is right next door to hers that and her scent isn’t imbedded with his yet.
