~Ruby~

I heard something break down stairs. I jumped from my bed and ran down stairs. I reached the end of the hall to the top of the stairs. There in the foyer was two Alpha’s fighting Nathan was defending his face by putting up his hands as Asher pounded on his face. I watched stunned as Asher kept hitting as the blood stained the floor. This was not good but I really didn’t want to stop it. As Nathan fell to the ground I heard a scream I looked to the source seeing Gracie standing there with her hands covering her face. That was enough I bolted to Asher and Nathan I pushed Asher back as he growled at Nathan. Nathan jumped to punch Asher but I used my feet and kicked him back, “Hold him!” two pack members came out and grabbed his arms as I pushed Asher outside. “What were you thinking?” I asked he looked at me and shouted “YOU SHOULD BE THE LAST ONE TO DEFEND HIM!”

He kept shouting so I screamed “ASHER!” he stopped and looked at me. “This meeting is about treaties not battles. You cannot just attack an alpha because you want to! Believe me I want to pound his face in more than anyone on the planet but this is not the time or the place to do that!” he seemed stunned. “How old are you?” he asked I knew he was referring to the logic I just threw out there. “How old do I look now go take a walk and cool off.” He turned and walked away as a guy with blonde hair walked up to me. He nodded and then followed Asher. I sighed now I had to deal with Nathan. I walked inside as he was struggling against my wolves. “Bring him to the doctor so she can try to improve his face.” They chuckled and Gracie shot me a dirty look as she followed after him. I stuck my tongue out at her.

I walked along the forest as Derek my beta followed. “Man she’s really gonna be a good Luna.” I nodded and he asked “how hard you hit him?” I smirked and said “hard enough to knock some teeth out.” Derek patted my back saying “good that ass deserved it. Putting a woman through the mating rejection it was worst thing you can do.” I nodded as my rage was still raging inside me. I wanted nothing more than to finish off that scum bag but Ruby was right this wasn’t the time or place to do that. Derek walked along beside me and asked “you ever gonna tell her?” I shrugged and said “not yet. I want to be friends first she’s been through a lot so far.” He nodded and said “that why you want the treaty?” I nodded and we continued on our way. As we rounded back to the house what I saw threw me and my wolf into a rage. Nathan was fighting against my mate! Ruby was growling as they circled each other. Nathan shifted into his pure black wolf and charged at my mate. Rage filled my soul and I was in wolf form racing towards them. Ruby shifted before my eyes and started to fight with Nathan I watched as he being an alpha was stronger.

He knocked her down but she kicked him off freeing herself. I tackled him to the ground growling in his face. Ruby pushed her muzzle into my pelt gaining my attention he motioned to the door where I saw Alpha Jango tapped his foot. I got off Nathan and pushed Ruby along away from Nathan. He was not going to hurt her anymore then he already has. I sat on the lawn with Ruby by my side. She was watching as Jango walked out and pushed Nathan to his pack members. “Bring him back when he has a calm head I will not take a threat against my successor lightly!” they dragged Nathan away as he growled and roared at us.

'What happened to no fighting? '

I asked Ruby she looked at me and smirked

'Fuck that he tried to mark me like nothing happened. '

I let out a growl and she asked

'You got any extra clothes around or do you need to go back to the temp house? '

'Actually I think I have a pair in the pack house in case something like this happened. '

I stated she nodded and we walked inside I walked into the study and grabbed my spare clothes I dressed in the bathroom and walked out seeing Ruby leaning on the wall across the hall. “You took your time.” She stated I smirked and we walked down the hall. We came to the kitchen where Jango stood with his arms crossed. “Ruby mind explaining what happened?” he asked.  She sat down and I joined her. “well I woke up finding Asher and Nathan fighting I broke it up, then sent Nathan to the nurse she fixed him and he tried to push up on me and mark me so we started to fight then Asher showed up and jumped in and you know the rest.” Jango nodded and said “alright I’ll let it go for now since Asher signed the treaty I really can’t be mad about protecting the alpha.”
