It’s been a month now. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been I go running with the pack and attend school with the pack. I feel at home. I walked down the hall with Brook as Hank had his arm around her shoulders. Jango told me my new rank and he told me about the alpha meeting I agreed that I didn’t want to see my mate but if I did I wouldn’t act any different than I would an ex-boyfriend. Brook still had no idea about the wolf life her boyfriend led. He wasn’t allowed to tell her until they got serious. I walked with them to my next class I sat by my alpha and he smirked. “you know the whole pack gets off for the meeting so no school.” I nodded and he said “you gonna be ok?” I nodded again saying “of course. I got a new pack that I’ll take over some day.”

He smiled and said “that’s for sure.” We talked today was our last day until the pack meeting was over which lasted a month. We waited for the bell and walked out as we walked every pack wolf followed. We were back home to the pack house in seconds. As we waited tow guys were playing cards with me on the lawn. Once the first car showed up Hank and Tony were going on patrol with me. My official new name to the pack is Little red. I threw down three chips. “I raise.” The guys groaned and one folded as the other raised a well. “I hate playing you Little red.” I smiled so far I was winning. “call.” I stated he laughed and showed a pair. I smirked and put down my cards. “read them and weep royal flush.” He groaned and I took the chips. Tony walked over and sat by me. “really?” I smiled and asked “what?” he laughed saying “you always win poker.” I shrugged and he asked “you ready?” I looked at the road seeing a black large van coming in. Tony and I ran for the forest and as soon as I touched the soft earth I was on all fours running.

As I swerved in and out of trees Tony and Hank were struggling to keep up. I passed the van and kept up my pace. Soon I was so deep into the forest I knew no one would sense me. I kept pushing myself to run farther  I wanted to separate myself from Nathan. I didn’t want to see him… all that pain he put me through I knew I would attack him.

'slow down little red!'

Tony’s voice screamed I stopped and panted I looked behind me they were nowhere to be seen.

'how far back are you guys?'

I asked.

'were just passing the van nut ball.'

Hank answered. Wow there slow. I heard a twin snap behind me I turned growling in that direction.. my fur stood on end as I crouched low. Hank and Tony weren’t here yet they aren’t that fast yet. My growl was vicious out walked a large wolf with black fur. He wasn’t from a pack that much I could tell. He was a rogue. As I growled Tony came out of nowhere and tackled him into a fight.  

'are you alright?'

Hank asked walking over by me. I nodded I watched Tony roll with the rogue he was winning because this rogue wasn’t thinking about other wolves.

'good job.'

I nodded and Tony walked over with a little blood on his muzzle he killed the rogue. I’m not really supposed to fight unless necessary. The guys think I’m a little meek but Tony and Hank just want to keep me safe. Since I’m the next alpha in line Jango has become like my dad he wants me safe and doesn’t want to see me hurt ever again.

I stood on the porch as Alpha Nathan and his new mate Gracie got out of the car a couple got out behind them along with the beta and the alpha before him. “greetings alpha Loca.” I nodded and led them in to their rooms. Nathan looked pleased as he held the woman’s hand and she smiled proudly at him. This was the same Nathan Jotan who hurt my Ruby so long ago. I saw Anna holding in her rage. Since her appointed title Ruby has become out adopted daughter she’s a very good alpha but I still hate the man who put her through hell. “hi I’m Gracie Hoodly! Luna of the Red moon pack.” My eyes widened at Hoodly she was the step sister Ruby told us about. How could she harm her own sister.
