Just moments after Ginny and I started cuddling, Lavender barges in we both sit up in a panic, but Lavender doesn't see or say anything, she just goes around looking in drawers mumbling to herself, Ginny takes my hand, and we sneak out of the room without Lavender even realising that we were ever there. We go down the corridor to my room, Nora is sitting outside my door, I kneel down and ask: "are you okay?"

Nora: "I couldn't find you, so I just sat down here"

"Why aren't you with the other first years?"

Nora: "They were laughing at me"

"Why?"

Nora: "I just sat down to talk with my brother, but the others told me to get lost because I didn't belong with the Hufflepuff's"

"That's not nice, I will handle this okay, we don't accept bullying here on Hogwarts."

Nora: "What will you do?"

"I will talk with the Hufflepuff prefect and get this handled."

Nora: "Okay, thanks"

"There are some Gryffindor first years over there, maybe you could talk with them?"

Nora: "I can try"

"That's good"

Ginny goes to her room to study, and I go to the library where I know Ernie Macmillan are studying, I approach him and say: "Ernie, you need to get a hold of your first years."

Ernie looks up confused and answers: "What?"

"Your first years have been bullying one of my first years and keeping her from seeing her brother."

Ernie: "Oh, you are talking about that little black-haired twat, what's her name?"

"Her name is Eleanora Flower."

Ernie: "Oh so her brother is my brilliant first year Emery"

"I guess"

Ernie: "yeah I wouldn't call it bullying"

"And why not?"

Ernie: "Emery told her to get lost, because he wants to hang out with his friends, it's not his fault that's she's a loser with no friends"

"You are not being fair Ernie."

Ernie: "How am I not being fair, you favourite your first years."

"I most certainly do not"

Ernie: "Then why are you here talking on Eleanora's behalf"

"I would do that for anyone of my first years."

Ernie: "Sure, you can't even all of their names, can you?"

"That doesn't concern you at all."

I walk away furious, why does Ernie have to be such a dick, as I walk away, I just hear him and the other Hufflepuffs laughing, I want to turn around and slap Ernie, but he's not worth it.

I go back to Ginny, she isn't in her room, so I go to mine where Ginny is sitting chatting with Hermione, I try to calm myself down after the event with Ernie Macmillan, as I sit down on my bed Hermione sits down beside me and asks: "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine"

Hermione: "Ginny told me that you would approach Ernie Macmillan, how did that go?"

"Awful, he's a dick."

Hermione: "Well we knew that already, but what happened?"

"He said that I favourite my first years."

Hermione: "And?"

"I don't, do I?"

Hermione: "Look at it this way, you don't do favourite's you just help those in need, and Nora needs you more than the others"

"You are probably right."

Hermione hugs me, I don't need her to say: "I know I am" I'm just glad that she doesn't say it out loud, but I know that she is thinking it.

I go over to Ginny, who has been sitting quiet in Hermione's bed, I say to her: "Do I need to help Nora less?"

Ginny: "Not at all, you help her all she needs, its only her second day at Hogwarts, she will find her friends, she just needs a little push like you did"

"Thanks"

Ginny takes my face in her hands and say: "You are such a perfect prefect, and I love it, you are so caring, and you take the responsibility that you need to."

She leans in a kiss me deeply, and after she hugs me just as tight. And I whisper in her ear: "I love you."

Ginny whispers back: "I love you too."

We've been saying: "I love you" for years know, but this was the first time after we became a couple. And I know that we both mean it. Ginny says: "I have to study a little for tomorrow."

"I do too"

Ginny leaves and Hermione says: "You two are too cute together."

I can't help but smile at Hermione's word, and all I can say is: "I know."

I sit down at my desk and lay last hand on my homework for tomorrow.
