1998

Sunday June 7th

I woke up to rain drops falling on the roof of my hammock, I got up, still sleepy, as I found my bag and dig through it to find a clean set of clothes, I find a note at the bottom, saying: "Meet me on the other side of the river - Ginny."

I quickly got behind a tree, changed my clothes and when I got back, I saw that everyone was still asleep, but one hammock was empty, Ginny's. I thought of the note, and went down to the canoes, one was missing but I could see it across the river, so I untied a canoe, and paddled my way across the river. Ginny met me inside the forest, she pushed me against a tree and kissed me deeply, we haven't kissed since the start of our trip, as we know it makes the others a bit uncomfortable. But now, we are alone, and no-one can see us. My hands landed on Ginny's waist pulling her closer. We pulled apart for just a second, a smile on Ginny's lips, hard not to mirror, as our eyes me, an undeniable spark ignited between us, drawing us closer with an irresistible magnetic force. In an exhilarating rush, I lifted Ginny and gently pushed her against the towering tree, her touch sending shivers down my spine. I could feel the heat radiating from her body, igniting a flame within me that I couldn't ignore.

With a hunger that matched my own, our lips collided in a passionate frenzy. The world around us faded into insignificance as our mouths moved together in perfect harmony. It was a kiss that transcended words, expressing the depth of our desire and the longing that had consumed us for so long.

Lost in the intoxication of her touch, I felt her hands exploring the contours of my body, fuelling the fire that raged within me. In the midst of our fervent embrace, our t-shirts were discarded, abandoned without a second thought. Our bare skin pressed against each other, a delicious sensation that heightened our connection.

The forest became our sanctuary, a realm where time stood still and inhibitions were cast aside. We were entwined in a passionate dance, our bodies moving as one, driven by a longing that had been unleashed. The boundaries between us blurred, and the world around us ceased to exist.

But just as we teetered on the edge of surrender, our desires reaching their climax, a sound broke through the haze of our shared passion. Rustling bushes nearby shattered our intimate bubble, pulling us back to reality with a jolt. Startled, we reluctantly pulled apart, our chests heaving with a mix of excitement and trepidation.

In that moment, embarrassment tinged with fear gripped us. We hastily searched for our discarded t-shirts, our hands trembling as we covered our exposed skin, longing for a sense of normalcy. The forest, once our accomplice, now held our secret, its silence a stark reminder of our interrupted intimacy.

The rustling continued, growing louder, and we knew we had to retreat. With a shared glance, we gathered ourselves, our stolen glances carrying unspoken promises. As we made our way back to the path, our footsteps echoed in harmony, a soundtrack to our unfulfilled desires.

The forest whispered its farewell, knowing that our passion would forever be etched in its depths. Our parting was bittersweet, leaving an ache deep within our souls, longing for the moment we could return to this sacred place and allow our passion to consume us once more.

For now, we walked away, our hearts heavy with longing, knowing that the forest would keep our secret. It held the promise of future encounters, where our desires would find release and fulfilment. And as I stole one last glance at Ginny, I carried the memory of this enchanted forest within me. I wanted Ginny so bad, and once again our intimate moment has been stolen from us.

As we headed back to the campsite, each in our own canoe, the sunrise glittered over the tranquil waters. When we reached our campsite, everyone was already up and sending us curious looks. As I sat down beside Hermione, she handed me a s'mores as breakfast she whispered in my ear: "Where were you?"

"With Ginny." I whispered back.

Hermione: "I figured, and by the way, your shirts inside out."

"Shit." I thought to myself, and I looked over at Ginny, she was wearing the shirt I had taken on just a few moments ago.

After eating my s'more I got up and went to Ginny to whisper in her ear: "We accidentally mixed shirts."

I could see the panic in Ginny's eyes as she got up and followed me to behind a tree again, this time it was to change our shirts back.

Another embarrassment, like this day is only going to be embarrassing. Nah properly not, as we headed back the others had packed up and were ready to go.

Draco had told us yesterday that he had seen a stable nearby, and he saw that we could rent horses for a few hours, we all agreed on his brilliant idea.
