Sunday March 9th

At breakfast today is served two pieces of toast with a fried egg, I am sitting with Ginny, Hermione, and Harry as usual, but Ron is missing.

As Ron walks into the great hall a lot of boys calls him a loser, but the girls cheer him on as he walks past him. It's his first game after the try-outs. He looks very nervous, and he asks Hermione and Harry how their dinner party went with Professor Slughorn. And Hermione says: "Slughorn's having another dinner party, you know. And we're meant to bring someone."

Ron: "I expect you'll be bringing McLaggen, he's in the slug club, isn't he?"

Hermione: "Actually, I was going to ask you"

Ron: "Really?"

Just then Lavender comes up to Ron and says: "Good luck today, Ron, I know you'll be brilliant."

And then she walks away.

"I'm resigning" Ron says: "After todays match McLaggen can have my spot."

Harry puts a glass of juice in front of Ron and says: "Have it your way."

Luna who has been sitting next to Ron says: "Hello everyone. You look dreadful, Ron. Is that why you put something in his cup?"

"Is it a tonic?" Luna asks.

Harry puts the liquid luck in his pocket and Hermione says: "Liquid luck. Don't drink it, Ron."

Ron ignores her and drinks his juice.

Hermione: "You could be expelled for that."
Harry: "I don't know what you are talking about."

As Ron rises from the bench he says: "Come on Harry, we've got a game to win."

---
After the game which Gryffindor ended up winning. All of Gryffindor are standing around Ron cheering. Harry and Hermione are talking, and I hear Hermione say: "You didn't put it in? Ron only thought you did?"

And Harry nods. And put the liquid luck away again.

Out of nowhere Lavender appears in the middle of the circle around Ron, she flings her arms around his neck and kiss him deeply. Everyone is cheering, but I look at Hermione, and she became pale really quickly. She turns around and storms out of the room. Ron and Hermione aren't officially dating yet, but that doesn't give Ron the right to kiss Lavender, I follow Hermione down the stairs, and she starts crying. I sit down beside her and comforts her. Not long after Harry appears, and I know that I need to leave. Hermione won't say it out loud, but Harry sits down beside me, and I say: "I'm going to find Ginny, we'll talk later, okay?"

Hermione nods and I get up and Harry moves closer to Hermione. As I leave Ron and Lavender enters. I go past them, and I could see that Ron knew Hermione was crying, because he didn't look as happy as before.

---
I walk outside, I couldn't find Ginny, so I sat down on a bench outside to think.
Ron is really an idiot to kiss Lavender even though he is dating Hermione.

As I sit and think about why Ron would kiss Lavender, Ginny appears, she sits down beside me and says: "Is Hermione okay?"

"She will be, she's with Harry right now."

Ginny: "Hermione and Ron are dating right?"

"Not officially, but yes they are."

Ginny: "Then why would Ron kiss Lavender?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out."

Ginny: "Maybe it was just a one-day thing, and it will be over tomorrow?"

"Hopefully, I don't want Hermione to be sad."

Ginny: "She won't be sad forever, and she will be with Ron, officially and not just dating. I just know it."

"I hope you are right, because she really likes him."

Ginny: "Yeah, I think everybody can see that."

"Apparently not Lavender."
Ginny: "Lavender is blind for some things; we can't do anything about it."

"You are right."
As I enter my room later that day Hermione is not crying anymore but she still seems sad, I sit down beside her on her bed, and we talk about relationships for a while until Hermione falls asleep. I get back to my bed and fall asleep too.
