1996

Monday December 20th

The past few months Ginny and I have been exploring each other in every way you can. And I feel so close to her and so secure with her.
I'm at Ginny's for Christmas because our parents are going on a "couple's retreat" I don't know why but I'd rather be with Ginny for Christmas than be home.
This morning it started to snow, for the first time this month, so we all ran out and played in the snow like we were all eight years old. We build a family of snowmen and we all just had fun in the snow, Harry is here too, and we all hang out together, Ginny and Harry talked the other day, and it seemed to have been about still being friends after their break-up.
I had a feeling that Harry wasn't over Ginny at all, but today in the snow, they had fun together and nothing was awkward they just played like old friends. We all know about their past together, but Ginny would have found out about her sexuality sooner or later, so their relationship was kind of meant to go wrong.
I'm still good friends with Harry too, we've never been close, but we're friends.
Enough about that.
I sit in the Weasley's kitchen painting while all the others are playing boardgames, I was asked to join them but I've had an idea for a painting for so long but not having a clue about how to start and how to make it, but today it hit me, I was going to make different paintings on one canvas, and they should be random, and kind of blend into each other, so I sat down and started making my lines that should break up the pieces, I made them so they looked like the canvas had been teared apart. I'm working with a nine by twelve canvas, so I divided the canvas into ten pieces, I had decided to make the paintings about important houses, people, and pets around me. So, for houses I sketched out the Weasleys house, Hogwarts, our house, and the treehouse. For people I sketched out the trio (Hermione, Ron, and Harry), one of me and Ginny. And then for pets, I sketched out my child-hood dog Bella, a beagle I lost before I got Astra, Ginny's pygmy puff Arnold, Hermione's cat Crookshanks, and then of course Astra, my beloved owl.
After everything was sketched out, I painted the background in Hogwarts colours, so everything was in red, blue, yellow, and green.
As I started painting the houses Mrs. Weasley came over to me and said: "What are you working on honey."
"Just a project I've been wanting to do for a while."

Mrs. Weasley: "It's beautiful, Ginny told me that you were talented, but I didn't know you were this good"

"Thanks Mrs. Weasley."

Mrs. Weasley: "You can call me Molly, dear."

"Thanks Molly."

Mrs. Weasley: "We've known each other for five years already."

"That is true."

Mrs. Weasley: "I'm going to start dinner soon."

"Okay, I'll move this."

Mrs. Weasley: "You can place it in the window to dry dear."

I do as Mrs. Weasley says and put my wet canvas in the window and pack my painting away.

"Do you need help with anything Molly?"

Mrs. Weasley: "Not right now dear, but thanks for asking."

"No worries."

I go over to the others and sit down, I play boardgames with them until dinner.
At dinner Mrs. Weasley tell us that we are all going on a trip tomorrow to buy Christmas presents.
But because we are so many, we all must pick a name from a hat and only find a gift to that particular person.
I think it's a good idea to do so, because the Weasleys aren't a rich family and with such little money and such a big family it must be hard around the holidays.
