Looking at the pain he was in was sickening. The place he was in...the room he was in was terrible. If (Y/n) saw this, she would definitely be disappointed and horrified. What I don't get is...why the fatui are doing this? They're already a multi-million mora company, so why are they doing this!?

'Heizou...check this out.' (Y/n) said

'Hmm?'

'These are access keys. I think we can use them to get into the building and investigate this Project Calypso stuff.'

She held up two access keys.

'Access keys? Where did you find them?'

'There was a false bottom in one of those drawers.' she pointed to the opposite drawer. Thank god she didn't see the other one. If she did, she'd find all of the other things about Tomo, and she can't see that. I'm pretty sure she was having a nightmare regarding it last night too. She kept muttering Tomo's name, and she begged him not to leave.

'Oh, I see.'

'Did you find anything?'

'Uh, I found this too.' I said, holding up a torn piece of fabric

We both had gloves on to make sure we didn't leave any fingerprints and contaminate the crime scene.

She took it from my hand and inspected it.

'We should take this into forensics. I think it's covered in something.' she said, holding it up. 'Maybe the residue or something can help us get a better look and understanding of this "Project Calypso."'

I nodded.

'It's strange how the Fatui and doing Human experiments. Where do you think they get their test subjects in the first place?'

'Hey, look, there are some pictures in the case file too.'

She picked them up and saw similar pictures of test subjects to the ones I had found on Tomo. These were less gruesome in comparison but still sickening.

'Oh my god...this is horrible. Why would anyone do this to someone?' she said. 'These people look familiar for some reason, though.'

'Hmm, what do you mean?' I asked

'Look at this girl.' she said, pointing to one of the test subjects. 'She reminds me of an old case I was reading back when I was in Police Academy...it was about a missing woman, but the verdict, in the end, was that she was presumed dead. There wasn't much on the girl's case either. Another suspicious thing was that a lot of the information on the case was blacked out.'

I froze as she described the case. Everything she described sounded just like Tomo's case file. The missing information and everything.

'Missing information? Where did you find that case file?'

'The archives.'

'We should get back home so we can visit the archives and find the old case file.'

'Sounds like a plan.' I said nodding

'Hey, Heizou...'

'Hmm?'

'Doesn't her uniform look familiar?'

'Wait, you're right...that looks like the uniform at a local bar back home.'

'Precisely!'

'Let's get going because I have a contact there. Also, Kazuha will kill me if I don't give his car back,' she muttered.

'What was that last part?'

'W-What last part!?'

'About Kazuha killing you.'
