I Hate You (Heizou x fem!reader)

Reminiscing

They threw me into a cell after bandaging up my arm. I sighed softly when I heard a yelp. I looked behind me to see a young girl. She looked about sixteen. When my eyes adjusted, I realized she was the missing daughter of the Fatui diplomat.

'W-Who are you?' she asked. 'Tomo didn't tell you to bring me to the Doctor, right?'

My heart sank at the mention of my brother's name. What has he done over these years?

'No, he didn't. I'm Kazuha...I'm a journalist. What's your name?' I asked gently

'Diana.' she responded weakly.

Diana didn't look too well. Her eyes were dull and her cheeks were sunken as well. They haven't been feeding her well.

'Nice to meet you.'

'Why are you here?' she asked timidly. 'Your hand is hurt too.'

I sighed, staring at my bandaged arm.

'I did a stupid thing and got trapped here. My best friend is a detective. She told me not to come here, but hah, I didn't listen, so here I am.' I said shrugging weakly

'Your best friend is a detective?' she asked her eyes full of curiousity

'Mhm. She's the one and only Detective (Y/n) (L/n). She warned me not to come here because she knew this place was dangerous.'

'Why didn't you listen to her?'

'People do stupid things when they're desperate and emotional. I was really hard headed. I didn't even listen to the girl I liked.'

'The girl you liked?'

I nodded weakly.

'Her name is Yuki. Yuki told me not to go too, but I didn't listen. I was pretty lucky she cared a lot about me because she then told (Y/n) I was in trouble.'

'Then why are you still here?'

'(Y/n) got terribly injured while trying to save me. She got a glass bottle smashed against her haid. So I sacrificed myself for her. I guess I lucked out a bit, huh?'

She nodded.

'Do you know Tomo well, too?' she asked, and I gave her a sad smile

'He's my big brother.' I responded, 'But he's changed now. Things are really...complicated.'

'I want to go home.' she whimpered.

'Hey, hey, look at me. Detective Heizou and Detective (L/n) are out there searching for you. They will find you, ok? Those two are one of the best detectives in all of Inazuma. It's going to get better. Don't worry.'

I hope she finds us, but more importantly, I hope she's safe.

'Do you want to hear a story about (Y/n)?'

Diana nodded

'When we were kids...I was a huge nerd, and my assertive skills were zero. I never got bullied, though, because I had (Y/n). She even had this signature line she'd say whenever she confronted them.' I cleared my throat and tried to mimic (Y/n)'s voice, 'Hey, that's my best friend, and he's no bitch...but I sure as fucking hell am.'

Diana chuckled, and I smiled.

'She sounds like a badass.'

'She is a badass indeed.' I said with a smile, 'She's going to find us ok?'

I sighed. She was always there for me...looking out for me, but like an idiot, I didn't trust her. Now here I am...at the mercy of Dottore and his goons.

(Y/n)'s POV

That night replayed in my head like a broken record. I was getting my head bandage replaced, and Heizou's words echoed through my ears all the time.

"WHY DO YOU CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO ME!?"

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!"

Those three words echoed in my ears.

'Who did this to you?' Heizou asked while snapping me out of my thoughts.

I could tell he was still mad at me for not telling him and going out there without any backup.

'A goon...I think his name was Pallad.' I whispered

Heizou grumbled.

'I can't believe you sometimes (Y/n)...you went there without any backup.' he yelled.

'I was emotional! I-It all happened so fast I didn't think ok!' I yelled, my voice a bit hoarse

'I really can't understand what's going on with you sometimes (Y/n). This wouldn't have been a problem if you would've just told me where you were going!' he scolded.

'I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't want to lose him.' I responded with my eyes teary, 'You don't get it, Heizou...K-Kazu's my best friend. He was the only person I've had...the only person I have.'

Heizou's eyes softened.

'You have me too (Y/n). What do I have to do to make you believe me?' he asked, his voice strained.

I let out a choked up sob. It took all my courage to say what came next.

'Heizou, why do you love me? You look at me as if I'm the person who deserves your love, but I'm not. I'm a wreck! I-'

He took my hand in his and knelt down while looking into my eyes. He gave me a small smile

'I love you because you're the only one who deserves my love. Because you're this wonderful, funny.' he chuckled, 'chaotic and brave girl. How could I not? When will you see yourself like I do?'

My cheeks burnt, and I looked into his eyes. I tried to see if there were any lies in his eyes, but there weren't. He was genuinely telling me all of this. I'd never believe anyone when they'd say that about me, but Heizou was my partner, and I trusted him with my life.

'But-'

'No buts (N/n).' he said with a smile 'We're going to find Kazuha and we will bring him home. Together.'

I smiled a bit but my head pounded again. My hand gently reached for it.

' Are the headaches back?'

I nodded weakly.

'You feeling anything else? Dizziness, problems with concentration?'

I shook my head.

'Just headache.'

He nodded.

'Get some rest Princess...' he said gently kissing my forehead 'I'll get some work done so we can find Kazuha m'kay?'

I blushed at his sudden act and he chuckled at my expression.

'You're adorable Princess~.'

'Stop teasing me!' I said

'No~.'

Heizou's POV

I sighed. So Pallad's the guys name huh? I took out his case file. He was a low life criminal with nothing too bad on his record. Well now he's got a lovely new thing to put on his record now. Assualt on a police officer. Well now he's got a little target on the back of his head. Depending on my mood...he'll come to the morgue or to a cell in prison.
