Sereph gently turned his human on his back and placed himself between his legs. With his lips, he explored Hope's sensitive neck and kissed his way down. Hope put his hands next to his head and enjoyed the touch. But then Sereph paused. He stops? Why? Hope was confused.

"Hope," Sereph said uncertainly.

Now his human knew that something was wrong. "What is it, my heart?" Hope asked. He felt a slight movement on his left hand, felt Sereph's fingers run over his palm.

"Dhan, how long have you had this mark on your palm?"

Hope frowned in confusion. Which mark? He sat up and ran his hand over his own palm, but felt nothing. "What do you mean?"

Sereph sat down next to Hope and gently took his palm. He traced the edge of the symbol and said, "This."

Hope guessed what it looked like but asked again to be on the safe side. "What does it look like?"

Sereph calmly replied, "An oblique crescent moon open to the left."

Hope was silent. He didn't know what that meant, but one thing was clear to him, he could no longer delude himself that he was a normal person. "Sereph, I think we need to talk. I waited because I was unsure – but now I think I shouldn't delay it anymore."

Sereph pulled him into his arms and asked, somewhat worried, "About what, Dhan?"

Hope made himself comfortable against his demon's warm chest and arranged his thoughts again. "I think it started when Nix sent me to Hell. As soon as I arrived, I had the feeling that I perceived the surroundings more clearly. It was like slowly coming to the surface from water.

"When I first involuntarily took your blood, something changed fundamentally. Everything was intense, loud, racing at me. My click sonar provided me with information I had never received before. I was completely overwhelmed. Then it came to my kidnapping. The god Tori taught me how to channel and filter this information, I learned to use it for myself.

"Then one evening Nix gave me some of his blood. I felt like my skull was exploding. That evening and the days that followed, this change progressed further. The structures in which I used to think, which had processed information, have changed.

"Each piece of information is sorted and inserted into a grid. I can't explain it. With my return to the human world, this has intensified. I heard more, knew more, saw more than any other person. I began to hear the heartbeat of other living beings, completely insane. I also started learning things incredibly fast. After three hours in a café next to a French couple, I was suddenly able to speak French. I don't know how, but I've changed. My mind has changed... Sereph. I'm scared."

Sereph had listened to his mate. He had noticed that Hope had learned their language very quickly and that his hair had also become lighter. At first he had blamed it on their bond, but now that he had heard Hope's story, he was no longer sure. The mark in his hand also indicated that Hope was more than just an ordinary person. The question was – what? "I will investigate, somewhere this symbol must be noted. Until then, we should keep this a secret," Sereph said.

Hope grabbed his hand and subconsciously ran over Sereph's palm. "Sereph, I think we should talk to Aleksander."

Surprised, the demon looked at his mate. "Why Aleksander? And how do you even know him?"

He couldn't remember telling his beloved about the angel. Hope's touches continued.

"Tori told me about him. I know about the prophecy and that Aleksander is an angel who appeared in the course of the prophecy," Hope said quietly. "I can't explain it, but I think we should talk to him. I think Aleksander isn't just an angel. Tori said if you meet him, you'll get an answer to all your questions."
