Olivia POV

"Where is she!?" Olivia cried out, her shadows leaking from her hands.

"I-I don't know. I'm sorry, Liv."

It was too much, and she couldn't hold it in any longer.

Loki seemed to sense this and wrapped her in a tight embrace, using his magic to take them to the roof of the compound.

Falling to her knees, Liv threw her head back and screamed as the raw power surged out of her every pore.

Depleted, she fell forwards, catching herself on the cold rough surface beneath her.

Loki knelt beside her, gathering her shaking body into his arms. "Breathe, darling."

Olivia crawled up his torso, digging her hands into the hair at the base of his neck as tears overflowed her eyes. "I-I can't- she- she's-"

"We will find her. You need to calm down before you hurt yourself."

"I-I-" Liv couldn't breathe. It wasn't so simple. The air refused to make it farther than her throat.

Her lungs seized.

She felt Loki push his palm into the space between her shoulder blades, his magic pouring into her and having a calming effect.

She took a deep breath through the tears.

Then another.

"Good. Keep doing that." Loki encouraged.

And so she did.

When her mind flashed with images of that empty van, her lungs seized again.

"Don't think about it. Just stay here, with me."

Olivia gulped, forcing her mind to darken.

She's gone.

We will get her back.

They have her.

Not for long.

I could've stopped it. I could've-

You did what you could, little one.

I could've done more.

You could not.

I need to do more.

Then breathe. Focus your mind.

Okay.

"Okay." Liv spoke aloud, her word nothing but a whisper in the wind around them.

They sat there on the roof for another couple of minutes, the two of them breathing together until Olivia felt strong enough to stand.

As she got vertical, her strength doubled, and her fear turned to anger.

Loki noticed the change. "Ready?"

"Ready." She answered and Loki magicked them back to Tony's lab.

Smack dab into the middle of chaos.

The rest of the team was there, conversation continuing back and forth as they worked in tandem to get a last location.

Peter's suit cam was now projecting in the middle of the room and Liv watched him fly through the streets of Manhattan, searching for another van. From what she could gather, the one he'd followed had been a decoy. The one Penn was in had gone in a different direction, or they'd moved her to another vehicle.
