You left them amongst the broken glass to go search out Alpine. You eventually found her hunting in the gardens outside. When she spied you, she seized her hunt and ran up to your waiting arms. Holding her close, you meandered over to the lawn furniture, taking a seat by the firepit. It was unlit, the only light source coming from the solar lamps lining the space. You sat with her for an hour until your body came back to itself, the world around you losing its unnatural purple glow. That's where Mischief found you.

"You lost control." He sat in the chair next to you, looking up at the night sky full of stars.

"No shit, sherlock."

"We can work on that."

"Right now?"

"Is there something you'd rather be doing?"

"Not really."

"Good. I think this is something you might be able to control."

"How so?"

He turned to look at you, his green eyes almost glowing in the dark of the night. "I think if you practiced, you could control which plane you are on."

"Plane?"

"Our worlds are comprised of multiple planes of existence." Loke waved his hands out at the stars as he spoke. "I believe when you dissipate, you are in fact traveling to another plane of existence. Another realm."

"That actually sounds pretty cool."

"It is. It's something I only thought myself capable of. Well, and your sister but she only possesses the capability because of our bond and can only go to my personal realm. When mastered, this could be an excellent skill to possess on the battlefield."

"I'm listening."

"Come." He stood, offering his hand.

You took it, Alpine letting out an annoyed sound when she was forced to vacate your lap.

Loke led you to the field, sitting crossed legged in the grass. You followed suit, facing him. Alpine circled next to you a few times before curling up, content to watch.

He grabbed your hands in his and closed his eyes. "Close your eyes."

You obeyed, taking a deep breath.

"Now relax."

You huffed a breath. He was the second person today to tell you to relax.

If he noticed your resentment, he didn't say anything. Eventually you were able to relax, enjoying the quiet sounds of the night around you.

Now, feel for your power.

It wasn't hard to find.

Entering a different realm is as simple as entering a different room. You simply visualize where you want to go and walk your consciousness through.

You pictured the space around you taking on that unnatural purply glow. The shift was almost unnoticeable. But when you felt something inside you shift into place, you opened your eyes.

Loke opened his too and he stared at you with pride.

"You can see me?"

He nodded his head. "Yes. You somehow managed to pull me through with you. Just don't-"

You dropped his hands to look around at the space.

"-let go."

Looking back at Loke, you found him not glowing as brightly.
