You were snooping. There was no other explanation, and quite frankly you didn't give a shit. Initially, you'd entered your other realm as an escape to get away from all of the emotions running rampant through your system. Emotions that weren't your own. The influx of feeling had lost its love hazed wonder and was now bordering on irritation.
There had to be a way to shut out the feelings traveling freely down your bonds without severing your connections entirely. Thus far the only thing you'd discovered that worked was entering your realm. Which was fine short term, but you needed a long term solution so you didn't lose your fucking mind. So, you'd been trying to find Loki. You knew that he could help you block Steve and Bucky out so you could fucking think. You'd found him in the middle of a conversation with Thor in their suite. Then you'd just kind of.... stuck around.
Thor was pacing the length of carpet in front of the couch, his eyes aglow with his powers as tiny sparks shot out of his fingers and up his arms.
"Tell me again." Loke spoke gently from his spot leaning against the arm of the couch.
"I have told you a dozen times!"
"Then tell me a dozen more, you oaf."
Thor sighed, clenching his fists as he paced. "It's dark and quiet. There is naught around her other than the other girl."
"What of the other girl?"
"She is tall, thin. Her hair black as a raven's feather. Eyes of the very same shade. She is worried, dying. They are both dying. I can feel her lifeforce fading. We must find her brother, before it is too late."
"We will. You need rest. Working yourself up over this for weeks on end is not helping the situation."
"I cannot rest! When I close my eyes, it is hers I see. Those golden irises are like the setting sun, losing their light further with each day that passes."
"I understand-"
"You understand naught! You had the privilege of knowing your mate. Of knowing Olivia was safe here. I do not know where mine is, and she is not safe. I am the one tasked with protecting her. I have not met her yet and already I am failing. I am a king! A god! And yet I am powerless in this." You watched as Thor's anger faded away, leaving guilt and sorrow in its wake.
Loke pushed off the couch to stand before Thor, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "I can make it so you sleep peacefully. Please brother. Allow me to do this for you. Once you are well rested, we will begin the search anew."
"No. If my dreams are all I have, I will dream them. Perhaps I can gain another clue as to her whereabouts."
"Then at the very least allow me to share in your dreams. A different perspective may render aid."
Thor nodded and Loke led him to sit on the couch. The gods sat so closely their bodies touched from shoulder to knee. Loke's magic overtook their forms until they were both asleep.
Deciding you'd gain nothing by sticking around, you went in search of Livi. Maybe she could explain what you'd just witnessed.
You found her in Stark's lab. She was sitting on his workbench like you often did at Peter's, her legs swinging over the edge as she watched Stark tap away at his hollo computer.
"You're absolutely sure."
"You doubt me?" Stark laughed.
"No. It's just, we can't go to the team with a hunch. You know they're going to want definitive proof."
"How's that for proof?" Stark gestured to the screen.
Livi hoped down to get a closer look and you got in on it too, standing directly behind them.
