chapter 30: School again?

It's been a week since Virion told Art and Liam to rest, Art received much praise from the council and other Lances, her family was relieved that she was alright. Teria was locked in his room each time he finished a mission.

Today was like everyday, Liam and Art would wake up, bathe, eat and train the whole day but on their way to Ellie they bumped into Virion.

"Alright commander, who are the other Lances that are coming with us? I suppose this is a huge battle." Replied Liam curiously, gramps chuckled and stood up and walked to the door.

"Varay, Bairon, Mica, Art, Teria, Kathyln and you Liam, that is how much this battle is. And it could be the last with enough chances." Said Virion with a smile, even I didn't know that so many Lances were coming but something felt off and it clicked.

"Wait! What if it was the same as Elenoir?" Art said, which stopped gramps in his walk and turned around.

"Elaborate."Said Gramps, his expression was serious.

"What if they use this battle at Etistin's chores to lure us there and attack somewhere else or the castle? If all the people who stand a chance against a scythe aren't here, what will happen?" Art asked, this made them think for a moment before taking an artifact to call the other council member and the available Lances for a meeting.

We followed Gramps to the meeting room and waited for the others to arrive. Once they were all here we began.

"What's the meaning of this meeting, Virion? Haven't we already talked about everything?" Asked Blaine, he was irritated by the sudden call.

"I called you because we need to discuss last minute change, Art made an hypothesis. What if the Alacryan know where the Castle is and what if this battle at Etistin's chores was to lure our best soldiers to attack us?" Said Virion, all the council members looked at me and I just nodded.

"It would be regrettable indeed, so we take some of the Lances that can deal with Scythes here that's all." Said Dawsid, the Elves and Human representative agreed with him.

"No we can't just do that, we need people that can deal with them without destroying the castle if possible since it is our operation base and we don't have any other place." Said Liam, gramps was thinking of solutions.

"Then we just need her or you if that is the case since you can take two powerful Scythes at once." Stated Blaine.

"It is not that easy your majesty, I would say about three Lances should be enough if it is only two Scythes but I don't think Agrona only has his Scythes and retainers. Think about it, if he wants to go on war against asuras he would need more than just 6 Scythes and the Basilic clan." Continued Liam, in all the room, the Lances and the council members had a look of terror.

"You're right, it is more than a possibility. It's a shame that we couldn't take information from the two Scythes you captured. Now for the 3 Lances it will be you, Teria, Varay and Aya. Those that work with you?" Asked Gramps, Liam just nodded from his position.

"Well the meeting is over, those who are needed in the battlefield depart right after they're done preparing." Finished Gramps, Art sat up and exited the meeting room, Liam was following her until we arrived at my room.

I turned around and kissed him on the lips, we are both close to the integration stage which will make us stronger than the average asuras and close to an elite soldier. We went toward Ellie's room and played with her for a while until it was time to go to sleep.

Liam and Art woke up early because today was someone's big day, they took a quick bath, changed since it was still early in the morning. They put on their normal clothes for now and went to see someone. They walked to the room door and knocked, Murray and Sylvie were on his shoulders waiting with them.
