Ameeriah
It's been a long week and it's finally Friday.
I decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies before I had my last class, so I pull one of them out of my bag for a snack right before I head into my last lecture of the day.
This week was complete and total crap.
I had three exams, two of them in one day, and my stat TA graded my homework wrong and I had to go talk to the professor just for me to get the grade that I actually deserved.
Which was an A, by the way.
Then my phone was messed up all week and kept saying that my SIM card was missing when it was right there. So I had to go to the Apple store just for my phone to magically start working correctly as soon as I got to the technician.
It worked for a couple of hours but then it started glitching again so I had to go back to the Apple store and they were finally able to fix it today.
Then I left my psychology notebook at the library on accident and when I went back to find it, it was no where to be found.
And on top of all of that, I've been so overwhelmed with my school work load and just now finally got caught up.
I decide that the only way for me to chill the hell out after the week I've had is to go by a cafe.
When I get there, the soft orange lighting immediately makes me cozy and I grab a seat near the corner of the room.
I set down my bag and laptop and go up to order a lavender oat milk latte.
Once I get my coffee, I sit down, put on my headphones and play some Clairo before planning out the things I need to do next week.
I sip on my latte and it's warm, a little sweet and the foam at the top is perfect.
I hear the soft chatter around me, smell the aroma of coffee grounds, and see the sun peaking through the window of the cafe as I type.
I sit there for about thirty minutes before I hear the soft bell of the cafe door through my headphones.
I instinctively look up and see a tall body in sweatpants and a t-shirt and when my eyes make it up to his face, I see that it's Jackson.
He immediately catches my gaze and makes his way over to where I'm sitting.
I take out one of my airpods and smile softly at him. "Hey what are you—" I start but is cut off mid sentence.
"Did I do something wrong?" He says and make a confused face back to him.
Do something wrong? What's he talking about?
"What are you talking about?" I say with scrunched brows as he sits down beside me, looking at me intently.
"You haven't answered any of my texts all week, did I do something to upset you or.." he questions.
"Ohhh!" I exclaim. "My phone's been acting up all week, I had to go to the Apple store twice to see what was happening, I just got it fixed earlier today."
The worry immediately disappears from his face.
"Dude I thought I fucked up somehow."
"No," I laugh.
"Good," he sighs. "Cause I need you to come with me to tomorrow."

It's Saturday night now and Jackson should be coming to pick me up anytime now.
I reach to my phone to text him because it'd be a lot quicker if I just went to him because if he picks me up he'll be walking twice the distance.
Me Are you sure you don't want me to walk over to you guys' apartment parking lot?
