I just got back from helping Mama get back home. They released her from the hospital earlier tonight, and it seemed like the only thing I've been doing was trying to get her situated back at home and make sure she was safe, even though Daddy was doing most of the keeping her safe.

I'm still upset that Baby's little out burst caused her to break her leg like this, so ever since I got home, all I've been doing was trying to call Baby but he wasn't answering his phone. He hasn't been answering any of our calls or texts for the past few days, and I know why. He's only trying to avoid his family because he knows he's a fuck up and he fucked up big time. But he's got something coming for him the next time I see him. I'm going to beat his ass the next time I see him, only because I know Mama wants to but can't because of her leg.

"What's up?" I sucked my teeth once I heard Baby's voicemail for the millionth time today. What I really hated about his voicemail was the way he casually said 'What's up?' and took a pause afterwards as if he really answered his phone. "Obviously I'm busy right now, but I'll make sure to return your call at the quickest time. Just leave your name and your message after the beep."

Beep.

I sighed. "Baby. Look, I don't know what the hell your problem is or why you fucking pushed Mama on the ground, but you broke her leg as if you really care. I know you don't give a damn about anybody but yourself and that damn whore you're living with, but you need to wake up and realize that we're your family and you're gonna have to confront us one of these days because me and Deonte are just about ready to come over your house and whoop your ass for hurting Mama. Daddy already gave us the OK to do it. The only reason why we haven't is because we're trying to give you a chance to explain yourself but you're running out of time. Either call us back within 24 hours or we're coming over to whoop your ass."

I pulled my phone away from my ear and tossed it across my bed.

"That wasn't nice."

I looked up towards my bedroom door and saw Theodore walking inside. I rolled my eyes. "I don't give a damn. Baby broke Mama's leg and now she's in the hospital because he was acting like a little bitch and couldn't control his emotions. And then he has the audacity to disappear on everybody. That's some bull shit Theodore."

He smiled. "You gotta calm down baby. I get you're upset but there's nothing you can do now if he's ignoring y'all. Just give him some time to cool off and get his shit together. Imagine being him. I'm sure he's reading y'all's texts and listening to y'all's voicemail's so I'm sure he knows what's going on plus he has the Christine situation to deal with. I know I'mma sound crazy saying this about that little asshole but just give the kid a break. He's going through a lot right now."

"He's going through a lot right now because he fucked everything up," I shook my head as I climbed under the cover in our bed. "I don't care what you say, Baby is wrong and all of what's going on is because of him and his actions. He's almost 40 years old and still can't control his emotions. He's sad and pathetic Theodore."

"And he's still your brother, who you need to have some sympathy for."

"Nope," I replied. "I have no sympathy for him because he caused all of this. If he hadn't been acting like a such a punk and just left that Christine bitch when she first started cheating on him, then he wouldn't have to be concerned about her getting married and impregnated by his nephew. And if he took his anger out on Christine, instead of beating me and Deonte up and hurting Mama, then he wouldn't be in this situation."

Theodore sighed as he climbed into bed next to me. He pulled the covers up over his legs before he pulled his t shirt over his head and threw it on the floor next to him. "You know, you ain't gotta feel bad for the kid but at least give him some time to think. Don't call him threatening to beat his ass when we all know damn well you wouldn't hurt nobody. You might push 'em down some stairs, but you ain't fighting nobody baby."
