Chapter 25

Theodore

        Late the next night, I stepped outside and called up Mr. Richardson. I haven't spoken to Dr. Richardson since we've been on vacation, primarily because I was so busy trying to keep everybody happy when I'm not even happy my damn self. Dr. Richardson's my therapist that I started seeing before we left California. I only met with him one time but he said I could call him when ever I needed somebody to talk to. And I need somebody to talk to now; somebody who won't take sides, or spread all of my business around the family or to the media.

        "Hello? Mr. Reed?"

        I took a deep breath. "Hey Dr. Richardson, sorry if it's late over there but I needed somebody to speak to."

        "Oh, it's not late. What's going on down there? Enjoying your vacation?"

        How could I enjoy my vacation when my wife is probably creeping around on me? I'm not sure if she is, but I'm almost positive she is. The only reason why I haven't confronted her about it is because I don't have any evidence of her infidelity, but once I get some, I won't waste anytime knocking some sense in her dumb ass for cheating on me. I don't know who the hell she thinks she is, but I know the game. I've played the same game on people all my life, so I know what it looks like and I know she's cheating on me. But, with who?

        "Nah, not really," I sighed. I already told him how I think Victoria's cheating on me, and all he's told me to do is stay calm during vacation and the minute we get back to the states to come see him since it's hard trying to communicate over the phone. "I been tryna be nice to Victoria but she keeps avoiding me and trying to guilt trip me. She guilt tripped me so good yesterday that I ended up sleeping with her when I swore I wasn't gon' sleep with her 'til I found out who she was cheating with. For all I know, I could have f*ckin' crabs or f*ckin' Chlamydia again. You know how bad that shit hurt man? Ion want that crap again because of my dirty ass wife."

        "Whoa! Calm down Mr. Reed. I'm sure you don't have any diseases because you'd feel it by now or see something on her or on yourself. Just calm down."

        "How the hell can I calm down when she's cheating on me and Ion even know who she's cheating on me with? You know how hard that shit is Dr. Richardson?"

        "I know it's hard on you Theodore, but just take a deep breath and get yourself together. You can't try confronting your feelings until you calm down and listen to me. Have you tried talking to your wife about her infidelity?"

        I sighed. "Yes. I told her I was gon' kill who ever it was when I find out and for her to drop the nigga when we get back home. Then her ass quilt tripped me and seduced me into sleeping with her."

        "Are you sure you weren't a contributor of the intercourse?" he asked.

        I sighed. "A'ight, maybe a little. I kinda started it, but she kept and going and she finished it so it technically isn't all on my shoulders."

        "Alright, well did she at least understand what you were saying when you told her how you felt about her infidelity?"

        "She said she did, but I know she's a got damn liar!" I exclaimed, feeling myself growing angry every minute I talked about Victoria. "She always lying about something man and she swear she thinks I'm believing her but I don't because she's a horrible liar."

        "Alright Theodore calm down, and take a deep breath. Please." I took a deep breath and released it, but I still felt the same. I still felt like I was about to burst due to all of the stress I've been under and how angry Victoria's made me lately. "Talk to her about the lying. Tell her to be truthful to you and tell her that you can tell when she's lying, but don't do it in a confrontational way. Just kind of slide it in on the sly so she knows that you're aware of her lying. Don't start any fights or arguments with her either Theodore, just relax and get some rest on your vacation. Don't let anything happen until you get back to the states Theodore."
