I walked up to my locker where my group of friends were standing. Once I got to my locker, I leaned against it for support. If drinking would leave me feeling this terrible the next day, I don't plan on getting drunk for awhile, especially if I know I won't be getting any pain killers. My head is killing me. Every sound is amplified. And the sun shining in my eyes is killing me.
"You look terrible," Sonya announced.
"Thanks," I mumbled.
"So," Asia smirked. "I heard you went out last night. Were you with number one or number two?"
I thought for a minute. "Number two."
"I saw number one at Latoya's party last night," Sonya added. "Latoya was all over him, her and her friends. You know how those hoes get down.
"Yeah, he said he was going to her little party or whatever. He said he wasn't into it it, so he left early. I talked to him last night before I left home. He was talking about how he missed me and wanted me to come on campus to his dorm so he could see me."
Asia smirked. "Damn. You goin'?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't even know. Based on the way my mama been trippin' she ain't letting me get out of the house without her following along with me."
"Can't you talk to your Dad about it? I mean, he's cool. He'll understand," Asia replied.
"My mama be putting shit in his head, twisting his thoughts up. One minute he'll be on my side, then another minute, he'll be on hers. And I don't wanna get him involved, because I know he honestly doesn't care about our drama."
"Damn. Well one of us can take you, since you still haven't got your license."
I rolled my eyes at Asia'a comment. "Y'all know how my mama is. Her ass is the reason why I don't have it."
"And that pretty little Bimmer you got for your birthday's just rotting away in your garage. You better get your license soon," Asia laughed. "But I'll take you. You going to see him this weekend?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Probably not."
"Why?" Sonya asked as I pulled my locker open.
I smirked, feeling a little better since I downed two bottles of water and took a couple of aspirin before coming over here. A friend of mine said drinking lots of water should help my headache, and if I wanted to drink a lot, I should have drank a glass of water every time I had a glass of alcohol last night. They said it would help me not get so drunk. "Here's what you gotta do ladies. I can't give him everything he wants."
"Ohhhh," Asia smiled. "Playing hard to get?"
"Exactly. I can't make it seem like I want number two."
"But you do," Sonya added.
"Yeah," I shrugged. "But he doesn't have to know that. As long as he's getting what he wants, he won't go anywhere even if I'm not always coming to see him every chance I got. He'll always be there if I keep him wanting more," I said as I felt my phone buzz against my thigh. I pulled it out and smiled at the message flashing across the screen. "Number one."
"Damn. You got that nigga sprung," Asia laughed.
"Of course I do. Number two's about to be the same way one of these days."
