Daddy stood in front of me with a scowl on his face as he examined my outfit. Daddy dressed me, but made sure none of the cords on my body were visible for Luther to see. The only way Daddy could have eyes inside while I was talking to Luther would be to wire me and place an extremely small ear piece inside of my ear. He even made me take out my contacts and put on my glasses, so he could install a camera inside of them so he could be able to see everything single thing I see.

"Now, I don't want you getting scared Baby girl," Daddy warned me as he adjusted my clothes so you wouldn't be able to see any of the wires. "I'm sure that bastard bitch is gonna do anything he can to scare you but you gotta be strong for yourself and for your family. He's like a wild animal baby. He's crazy, out of control and he's after fear. He prey's on fear, so the minute he sees one ounce of fear in you, he's going to attack and do anything he can to break you down but nothing's going to happen to you with me hiding off in the trees and my crew surrounding the park. You're gonna be protected."

I nodded my head. "And how will you know when to come out and help me?"

"Don't worry about it. Just know I'mma be watching from a distance and I'mma pop up when he least expects me to. But I need you to do something for me," he began.

"What is it?"

Daddy pulled out the Desert Eagle he always carried around with him out of the top of his pants and held it out for me to grab, but I couldn't manage to do it. "Look, you know this is my baby," he said, referring to his gun. "I've had this since before you was born and it's always been by my side to protect me in case some shit jumped off. It never failed me once, so I know it'll be good for you to use Baby girl."

I frowned. "Daddy, I can't take that. I don't even know how to use a gun."

"Aim and shoot baby girl, aim and shoot. Now, when you shoot, you might get bitten by the slide but it's okay. It's going to hurt, but don't let that effect you. Just keep firing because you don't want to risk dropping the gun. Take the safety off and just pull the trigger. Don't let your fingers get all shaky and nervous, just shoot Baby girl. And take deep breaths."

"That's easy for you to say Daddy. You've been using this thing for years."

"Right, but it's a first time for everything and you're going to use this to defend yourself. What's your last name Baby girl?" he asked as he placed the gun in the back of my pants so I could easily get to it if something happened tonight.

"Reed," I replied.

He kissed his teeth. "Nah, your other one. The last name with some power behind it," he smiled.

I sighed. "McDonald."

"Right. You're a McDonald and McDonald's don't get scared. McDonald's aren't p*ssies and we don't get scared about taking down burnt up, low class, punk ass niggas like Luther. You already slit his throat once, just think of this as the same thing, only you're for sure you're going to kill him. Be strong Victoria."

I nodded my head. "Alright Daddy."

We all climbed into one of Daddy's trucks and made our way across town to the park Luther wanted me to meet him at. Teddy came with us too but he wasn't saying much. He hasn't said much all day since I told him about what Luther did to Lindsey. I'm sure he's just shocked and still traumatized like I was last night when I found out, but I have to be strong for my family and get through this without letting my emotions get the best of me.

They dropped me off a black away from the park and kept going, so it wouldn't look like I came with anybody. I had to walk down the remainder of the block alone and in the dark, but I felt protected.
