I worry when it's almost 5 p.m., Aris and the two kids are not able to come back.
It's true that speaking of the devil, the devil appears... A phone call from Aris.
"Hello, Ellie... I am sorry, we cannot go back, rain is so hard here in Ned," Aris speaking on the other line
"You better stay overnight there, it's dangerous to travel in hard rains... do not compromise the kids," I replied
"You're safe there, I send two of my bodyguards,"
"No need Aris, I am expert commuting..." I said and it took a couple of minutes before Aris replied
"I am sorry... very very sorry," Aris said
"I don't know Aris..."
I heard him in a deep sigh
"Bye Aris,"
"Wait,"
"What?"
"I love you,"
"I have no answer for now,"
"No pressure, I can wait,"
"Aris, can I ask a favor?"
"What's that? I will grant whatever request except leaving us,"
"Not that,"
"Then?"
"Can I go back to work... I already sent my resignation from where I work in Belgium, I am jobless now. I need to earn for myself and Ella, right?"
"Hmmm... please don't get offended, I will give you your allowance... just don't go to work... please take care of Ella and Arra. They need you,"
"Hmp... you said except leaving ---"
"You working is same as leaving us... You will leave for work,"
"Grrrrrrrr..."
"Please... you know how busy I am, then, I want them well taken care of... and no one can care for them the best way, only you,"
"But if you insist, then, okay... just confirm if you will go to work, I'll look for another Nanny for Ella,"
"You're a cunning man, you know where to hit me. Manipulative," I said
"For the kids," he replied
"Okay, my hugs to Ella and Arra, bye,"
ARIS's POV
"Daddy, you lied... and you have to pay us or else we will squeal,"
"What is that then?"
"Pizza and ice cream," Arra
"Sure!"
We leave our vacation house in Ned, Lake Sebu early morning. It's a foggy cold morning.
"Daddy, we are surrounded by clouds," Arra said
"It's cold," Ella said shivering
"The clouds cover the mountains, I cannot see them," Arra
"Even the trees," Ella
While we are on our way... The two are very observant.
