Leaving a wonderful life Rudy Sinclair had always known was the worst thing that has ever happened to her.
Forks, Washington was absolutely Hell on Earth. Too much rain. Not a single Dr. Pepper in sight. She would surely die of thirst.
That is if...

Forks offers a nice chilled air this morning. Rudy digs around in her suitcase she has sitting in the far corner of Jasper's room. Judging by all the clothes she's been through she'll have to go home soon. Perhaps tomorrow maybe.
She snatches a nice pair of dark boot-cut jeans. Then she finds a pale green long-sleeved top. They go nicely together. She changes into them in the bathroom. Though, sadly, they don't pair well with her yellow rain jacket.
Rudy pulls her arms through a bright blue zipper jacket. The fleece sleeves give plenty of warmth as she trudges through the forest.
Her old Converse flicks mud with each step she takes. All she does is follow the trail and eventually find the small clearing where the training will commence.
However, the sight she walks up to is rather odd. Pale vampires on one side, very large wolves on the other.
Bella is hanging around one wolf with honey-colored fur, too distracted to notice the newcomer. Rudy guesses it is Jake. But the rest of them look her way. They must have smelled her arrival. The thought makes her guts twist.
She gulps before making her way down to the Cullens. Jasper is the first to greet her. His cold hand slips into her warm one. She squeezes his fingers.
The vampire's smile doesn't meet his eyes. It causes her to frown.
"You okay?" Rudy asks him softly.
Jasper slowly nods his head. A few golden curls fall across his forehead. Without thinking, Rudy steps on her tippy toes and gently moves them behind his ears. She likes the feeling of the silky stands beneath her fingers.
She is very aware of his and everyone else's eyes on her. Rudy doesn't really care anymore.
The girl places a warm kiss on his high cheekbone. His icy skin leaves her with wickedly epic chills.
"I'm right here the whole time. Keep your focus." Her reassuring words are just enough to make his smile turn into a devilish grin.
There's the vampire I know so well.
That's when she knows his mood becomes a little brighter.
He carefully steps away from her, his jaw clenching slightly as he notices a few of the wolves looking too closely at her. Jasper Hale summons everyone's attention to the center of the small clearing. No one turns their piercing gaze away from him.
Rudy eventually moves over to sit next to Bella. They sit on the hood of Emmett's massive grey Jeep. It's probably as big as an elephant as it towers over them both.
"What did you say to him?" Bella leans in close to whisper, wanting any details about the two.
Rudy shrugs her shoulders as Jasper begins to use Oliver for a demonstration. She keeps her expression neutral even with the nerves bubbling inside of her.
