Rudy Sinclair has never missed Dr. Pepper so much until this damn wedding. Well, she missed it when she first moved here.Unfortunately, all that's here is champagne and other fancy drinks she can't even name. They don't smell like much of anything. And she can't drink any of it. What's the point of being a vampire? She must've missed the fine print.
Rudy and Jasper got ready for the wedding together. It had been a very pleasant interaction between them. A moment she will treasure forever. He carefully zipped the back of her gorgeous forest green dress, his cold fingers grazing the ridges of her spine. Before fixing his tie, she gave it a harsh tug, causing their lips to collide briefly. He wanted more, but she pulled back before her remaining human instincts could tell her to breathe.
That was truly something.
Now they're sitting at a very beautiful table underneath the night sky. Speeches have just been given. A lot of the crowd is crying into fancy napkins. Bella and Edward waltz across the baren dance floor, staring into each other's eyes like there is no tomorrow. It's funny because that's all they will ever have. She's sure Bella won't stay human for long. Their moment is so precious.
Rudy doesn't understand why she was such a bitch about this in the first place. She wonders if new vampires have heightened hormones as well as emotions. Maybe she'll ask Carlisle about it.
She really was perfect, Bella, walking down the aisle. Rudy watched Charlie Swan tear up as he handed her off. It was the best part of the whole ceremony.
Aunt Jane would have liked how Alice planned the hanging vines and floating table centerpieces. Rudy smiles as she thinks of her aunt. Her head tilts and her curls graze her shoulders. Jasper catches the little expression.
He carefully grips her hand in his. "Care for a dance?" He asks before planting a simple kiss across her hand.
Too bad vampires can't flush because she would be a tomato right now.
They strut to the dance floor. Her dress sways with the music. Rudy rests her head on his shoulder. Jasper wraps his arms around her waist. They rest perfectly in each other's arms, like two pieces completely a complex puzzle.
"Being a vampire is very difficult." Rudy made sure to keep her voice low enough for only Jasper to hear. She's been keeping this potential conversation in her mind for a while.
"It does get easier. The circumstances of your Change weren't expected. However, I'm more than sure that you will grow into your new supernatural habits." Jasper sighs. He spins her around slowly.
She softly grins while twirling with the music. Rudy arrives back into his arms. She finds him glancing at her with a smirk of his own. One corner of his lips is higher than the other. A feature of his that she tends to be most fond of. God, so much love flows through her for this vampire.
