Leaving a wonderful life Rudy Sinclair had always known was the worst thing that has ever happened to her.
Forks, Washington was absolutely Hell on Earth. Too much rain. Not a single Dr. Pepper in sight. She would surely die of thirst.
That is if...

The rest of the week drags on slowly. Consumed by dull classes and bitchy weather. Jessica clearly is out to get Rudy at any cost. Even if that means doing everything she can to turn Bella against her.
Rudy ignores the chestnut-haired girl smoothly. It's easy to get a rise out of her. Pretty much anything Rudy does is enough to get her mad. Whether it be shooting her wink when passing her in the hallways or very loudly talking about all the cute cowboys waiting for Rudy back home.
Which is a ridiculous lie but it worked nonetheless.
Angela has been kind enough to apologize on her friend's behalf. Saying that she really isn't normally like this. Rudy explained it wasn't that big of a deal.
And it isn't. She's beginning to think Angela is a good friend to have. She wonders why she was never around Bella. Something must have fizzled their friendship out.
Even Rudy's big smile makes Jessica huff and cross her arms like a child.
Bella on the other hand sulks. She keeps her head down in all their classes. She wouldn't even crack at Rudy's jokes. And those are damn good jokes too.
The girl with ridiculously curly hair tries her best to get her friend to smile. Nothing works anymore. It makes her sad to think she is going to be like this forever.
Rudy knows it had something to do with that Edward guy. He must be one of those Cullen folks.
She has paid close attention this week and listened to the gossip.
It's not like Bella is going to tell her anything in this state. So she has to do some digging of her own.
Turns out there is a whole bunch of them that live in Forks. Bella happened to have been dating one of them. A real tall fellow with bronze hair and sarcasm for days. Apparently, she caught his eye as soon as she showed up in Forks.
By the sound of it, they were perfect together. Always smiling and holding hands. But two weeks ago after her birthday he just dipped. Left her stranded in the woods just outside her house.
No one knows why. She won't talk about it. Rudy hasn't even met the guy and she wants to pound his face in with her fist.
And then the rest start slowly leaving too. Following behind him in support. Leaving only three of them. Well, after that Tuesday, they had gone away too.
Rudy takes some of the blame for that. She and Jasper had got into it badly. There is no telling what would have happened if he stayed and was put in another situation like that with her.
Rudy's sure she could have actually hurt him if he tried anything. Being raised out in the middle of nowhere really does make a person crazy. She was dying to show off her shocking right hook.
