These are supposed to be exciting times. Planning a wedding that will turn Forks upside down is thrilling for everyone. Rudy isn't sure how she's supposed to feel about it or if she should feel at all.
Jasper says she must smile and tell how happy and excited she is for Bella. But in reality, she is angry that everyone just forgot about her brutal transformation. They go about their days like it never fucking happened. None have volunteered to sit down with her to just talk about it besides Jasper. Of course, he wouldn't take no for an answer.
At most times it's like he is the only one o notice her in a world wrapped around everyone else.
It's not like she doesn't want to feel this way. She forces herself to grin each time Bella and Alice include her in the plans. Showing her the pictures of the fairytale decor and dresses. None of it feels right.
She's selfish. Rudy is haunted by herself, and her unwanted trauma. Slowly growing to hate what she is becoming. It's her own fault that she can't move on from what happened those few months ago.
She just needs to get a damn grip already!
Rudy watches from the balcony of Jasper's room as Bella stumbles in her heels meant for her special day. Occasionally tripping over her own feet. Alice frowns deeply at her, saying she should have broken them in sooner.
The new vampire grips the iron railing as she sees her friend's face clench. Most liking from her aching heels. Rudy sighs lowly. Suddenly sad that it is Alice who inserts herself into this role.
There has been no talk of bride's maids. If there was such talk Rudy knows who would have been Maid of Honor. She's certain it wouldn't have been her either.
She then gazes at Jasper and Carlisle who move very extravagant benches down the aisle. They make sure to double-check with Oliver as to where to put them. According to him, Alice wants everything to be perfect.
Rudy has had enough of this pleasant exchange and heads back inside the room. She is greeted with a nice wave of Western decor. It reminds her of another home, another life. Something she would never return to. God, why did her human life have to be taken from her so quickly?
Jasper makes sure she's aware that she has free reign to rearrange everything inside the room however she wants. Rudy smiles at that thought. There really isn't anything she wants to change.
This is his space more than hers. And she likes the way it was from the start.
During her first week as a vampire, she gathered all his stationary supplies and placed them inside the new desk he acquired. Making the room a little neater. Giving her space for her painting supplies. Rudy finally can paint those birdhouses he built.
She moves around the room to make up the bed. Vampires don't need sleep but she likes to get under the sheets and read a romance book with a booklight once the sun goes down.
