Paint covered her pale hands and pretty blue floral dress. It is so wet and thick that it makes the silky material stick to her stone flesh. Rudy doesn't even notice, her mind is too entranced by the task in front of her.

Doodling her feelings into journals is beginning to become a rather boring act. She filled about three within two days. It isn't enough to calm her mind. Rudy needs something more to express her ill thoughts truly.

It's a good thing Jasper has finally finished building this amazing gazebo out in the back of the Cullen house. It sits perfectly underneath a nice patch of great big pine trees. Its intricate white wood and gold rails deeply captivate her mind.

No one dared to stop her as she went into town to purchase canvases and paintbrushes. She didn't need any paints. There was still plenty left after the birdhouses she decorated. However, those turned out horrible.

As if a third grader pained them. Rosalie thought them to be sweet. Esme was more than happy to watch Rudy hang them up in the forest. Not even Alice could hold in her smile.

That was enough for Rudy to bite her tongue and not complain about her hideous work.

The newest vampire of the Cullen family took upon painting. Spending the majority of her time sitting out in the sun with a brush in her hand. Allowing rays of the sun to make her skin shine like diamonds.

The first time she ever walked in the sun after the Change, Rudy wept. Well, the best a vampire could cry. She fell to her knees and Jasper held her. As she preached how terrible and ungrateful she was. That God must have meant for her to fail in life and death. Then she wept more because there was no god for them. They were their grand beings who would outlive everything on this planet.

Damn, she created her very own tragedy.

He would say how he loved her all the same. That nothing she felt was wrong. Jasper would continue to be there for her.

Sometimes she can feel Jasper's gaze upon her. Making sure she isn't caving in on herself. His amber eyes trace over her hands as they flick over the canvas. She smiles to herself as he often loves to join her on the bench.

But today is different. It's Emmett who has decided to join her. Jasper is out on a hunt up north until Bella and Edward return home.

Rudy never gets hungry. Which was odd. All the vampires she knows get hungry after a while without feeding. She was different from the start.

"This looks terrible," Emmett snickers with a grimace. Taking in the poor picture of a swan swimming in a little pond.

"Kinda like your face." Rudy sighs with a small smile.

She doesn't care that her paintings are terrible to look at. The act of it all calms her racing thoughts enough to keep going. Maybe it will eventually give Edward a break from her mind as well. She understands that her thoughts are so complex and loud that they have nowhere else to go but out into the minds of others. It's not her fault.
