Unconditionally

*Serena's POV*

"Heyy Serena," a girl with straight hair grinned at me.
"Hi, What's up?" I reluctantly greeted.
"I'm good. What about you huh? I can't see Hazen Bridget around", she innocently inquired. But I knew she was internally smirking.
"I mean .. I just arrived. So imma go find hi-"
"Hey babe", he interrupted us with a kiss on my cheeks. I smirked and wrapped my hands around his biceps.
"My boyfriend is here so excuse us please", I said and flipped my hair as if I achieved something big.
"Woah... Babe what's that attitude for?" He grinned at me.
We were about to go downstairs when someone called me. He was none other than Raven Jones.
"Hey Serena, how's it going?" He gave me a half smile.
" Oh Hey Hazen, what's up bro?" They handshake with each other.
"I'm good ... Well you know my girl Serena?" He asked, slightly confused about how Raven knows me since I don't have any guy friends except him.
"Umm.. yeah he is actually Kenny's friend that's how we got to know each other. I'm good Raven. What about you?"
"I'm good. I just wanted to say hi to you cause it's been a while since we talked.. So, I just wanted to make sure there were no misunderstandings between us."
"Oh no.. everything's fine. Okay Hazen and I have to go somewhere... See you around ",
"Okay , see you," he left. Hazen looked at me with a confusing face.
"What's with that face huh?" I gave a confusing look.
"Nah.. nothing. Btw how does he know Elora tho? And what kind of misunderstanding he was talking about?"he kept asking
"Geez.. slow down. I'll tell you. I never talked about it cause I thought Kenny didn't want you to know about this yet",
"About what" his face still wore the confused look.
" Uff I'll tell you. Come with me" I dragged him with me . Hazen and I sat on the small pillars when We reached the terrace of our college.
" Are you sure you're comfortable on this?"
He asked with a tense face.
"Well do you see any better place to sit?"I smirked when he looked at me with wide eyes.
"Wow babe. You're unpredictable. Anyways tell me "
"So... Kenny, I and Raven were in the same school. Since then Kenny used to like Raven. But due to her own unobvious reasons she never confessed it. But a friend of Ravens once came to Elora and told her that Raven had some sort of feelings for her. Elora immediately informed me about it. As usual, I overreacted as I was very protective of her and wouldn't let anyone hurt her in any way. But later on, Raven's friend got to know that Elora felt the same for him and he told Raven about it right away. Before they got to know about each other's feelings, they were friends. They talked to each other whenever they sat in a class together. After all this, they started talking constantly which made them even closer. I started talking to him as well and thought that he was a decent guy. Then they fell in love. They started dating at a young age tho. I was happy for her and honestly I never thought she would fall for someone this hard. She never had a guy friend , never looked at a guy, never showed any interest in anyone except him. So I supported her as much as possible to make their relationship work out. But then her mom noticed them together and she somehow knew that it wasn't just a friendship. After that she struggled a lot since her mother would say a lot of hurtful things to her. Yet she didn't give up nor break up with him. She was just waiting for the right time to meet with him and sort things out. She was ready to struggle for him. Just him. But we noticed gradually he moved away from her. He started ignoring her. She was shattered after this. when they reconnected with each other and Raven said he was scared that Elora would get in trouble again if they keep showing up together. Then Elora felt a little better. Then they Healed their friendship.

Despite their chaotic break up , they somehow managed to make their bond stronger. He respected her always and she still was in love. I honestly don't think he is actually in love cause no matter what he says. If he really wanted her, he would have fought for her and stayed by her side whether it was secretly or openly. And even Elora knows it. But as they say,
Love is unconditional.
She still wants him badly. But she'll never let her emotions overpower her self respect. So now , they don't have a very close friendship but they do greet each other whenever they meet. The same goes for me. I'm not really interested in talking to him cause I know what she has put my girl through. So yeah I tried to tell you as much as I could", I finished
"Woah.. it's sad tho,... Bt ofc Elora deserves much better "
"She deserves the best cause she's the best " I corrected him.

"I'm scared for her"
"Why?" He asked.
"Idk... Like she's very vulnerable when it comes to him. I just... Don't want him to make any move that breaks her into pieces. Again." I put my head on his shoulder after saying that.
