"this is new!" I spoke, watching as Saint placed the plate of breakfast in front of me.

"mhm." Saint hummed, before returning to the kitchen to finish making his own plate.

It was the usual eggs, sausage, and toast—but Saint had added a bowl of some fruit and yogurt type of concoction to my plate.

I watched as he finished preparing his own plate before bringing it over to the counter ahead of me, where he stood to eat, leaving us facing toward one another.

"What made you wanna try this?" I questioned, noticing he hadn't made any for himself.

"saw it online...said it's good for pregnancies and shit." He replied in a mumble as he began to fork his food.

"I see." I nodded, smiling at the sentiment.

Saint didn't have social media, so I'm guessing he had to specifically search up something like that.

Things fell a bit silent as we both began to eat, but eventually, we both looked up abruptly when the rain again grew heavier.

"man it's coming down out there..." I said in awe as I looked over at the windows.

"you scared?" Saint questioned, teasing me as he wore a humorous smirk.

I gave him a flat look to which he chuckled, "I'm fuckin witchu." He added.

"It just seems to keep getting worse, I didn't even realize it was gonna rain this week," I spoke.

"It's normal." He said simply, "it usually gets bad around this time of year."

"Ah," I nodded.

"Wait you're right! Your birthdays coming up!" I said in excitement.

"mhm..." he hummed lowly.

"25....I've gotta do something special." I thought aloud to myself.

"being pregnant is pretty damn special." He stated lowly, chuckling.

I joined him and laughed a bit myself before replying, "That doesn't count, that's more your fault than mine!"

"you think so?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"uh, yeah," I nodded, "this is a product of you." I joked as I pointed to my still relatively small belly.

"you told me to Khalil..." he muttered with a smirk, shaking his head.

Warmth found my cheeks after that as I replied, "o-okay that was once..."

"never heard any complaints after that, but I get it, I learned my lesson." He replied back in humor.

I only shook my head at his antics and continued to eat. The silence returned as we finished up our food, and then Saint went ahead and took the responsibility of washing all the dishes as well—before joining me on the couch.
