'Alex I need you to just take a breath and calm down before you go in there',
I heard Meredith say to Alex outside of the locker room as I sat in there battered and bruised after an incident with a patient,
'Meredith I love you but I need you to move out of my way',
Alex said through gritted teeth but I didn't hear either of them move,
'Alex breath, she doesn't need you panicking when you see her okay',
Meredith said before moving out of the way and opening the door, he saw me and I could see that his heart broke a little. I looked at him and shook my head, he quickly made his way towards me,
'A-alex',
I stuttered out, he quickly wrapped his arms around me. He wrapped an arm around my waist and the other hand rested on the back of my head,
'it's okay baby; it's okay I'm here',
Alex said comforting me. I nodded my head at him,
'c-can we go h-home?',
I stuttered out through a shaky breath, Alex pulled back slightly but still keeping his grip right around me,
'in a little bit baby; I've just got to clean you up first'.
