'okay so I was just talking to Meredith and she has a new surgery idea and I think it actually might work',
Alex said walking into my hospital room and picking up my chart without even looking at me or greeting me. I looked at him unimpressed,
'what's that look for? the surgery seems like it will work',
Alex said to me, I shook my head at him,
'no, no more surgery',
I said to him, he looked at me somewhat shocked at what I had said; he finally went to say something until Meredith walked in,
'y/n has Alex run you through the next surgery',
Meredith said to me, I avoided both Meredith and Alex's eye contact. Alex let out a deep breath he had been holding in since I last talked,
'uh she doesn't want it'.
Alex said quiet bluntly, I finally looked up at them nodding my head in agreement with what he had said. Meredith looked at me confused before looking at Alex quite concerned,
'she does know the risks of not doing this surgery?',
Meredith asked Alex, I looked at them unimpressed,
'and you do realise that I went to med school, have more training than you and am in a higher position in this hospital than you so yes I understand both the risk of having this surgery and the risk of not having this surgery',
I said to her. Meredith looked at me slightly taken aback by my abruptness, she slowly began to nod her head at me, Alex chuckled slightly,
