Chapter 13 - Sliver And Gold (rewrite)

Mk had been on a lifeboat with rope, drifting in the bright blue ocean, humming a human song about “every little thing being alright.” As he relaxed with shades on and sipped tea, he noticed orange and blue streaks in the sky but paid little attention. After an hour, Mk mentioned the sight to his friends. Mei insisted, “Mk, c’mon, we have to check it out.” Eventually, Mk agreed, and the Traffic Light Trio set off to investigate.

They walked across town and into the mountains, bypassing the largest peak called Eclipse. They discovered blue and orange escape pods but found no one there. “Well, time to go home,” Red Son said, turning to leave. Suddenly, an orange gem with long blond hair and a blue gem with long silver hair appeared.

“I am Yin, the Silver Gem,” the blue one introduced, with their gem on the left forearm.

“And I am Jin, the Gold Gem,” the orange one added, with their gem on the right forearm. “We are Gem brothers here to find the Red Diamond heir.”

Yin and Jin bowed to Red Son and then attempted to take him with them. Mei, summoning her dragon spirit, destroyed the ground they were running toward. “You are not taking my friend,” Mei declared fiercely.

Jin and Yin ran with Red Son held above their heads, while Mei, on her dragon spirit, aimed to stop them. Mk, meanwhile, skipped back to the base. Mei destroyed part of a nearby hill, and Red Son used his fire attack to force the gems to drop him. After Mei dismissed her dragon spirit and grabbed Red Son, he yelled in frustration. “Jin and Yin, I know you’re in my court, but all I need from you is a D.C.D.”

Yin and Jin complied, handing over a diamond-shaped item. “Hey, Yin, we should explore this planet and then report back,” Jin suggested. The two then left.

Red Son and Mei returned to the group, who were gathered halfway to the house. After confirming everyone was okay, they had a sleepover at the base.
