Diamond Iron Fan had gathered all the necessary parts to build a rocket powerful enough to reach the moon. Diamond Bull King was busy constructing the rocket itself, with help from the Silver and Gold Gems. They were almost finished when Diamond Iron Fan approached her husband, her face etched with worry.

"Diamond Bull King, I fear for our son's safety," she confessed, her voice tinged with anxiety.

"Why do you say that?" Diamond Bull King asked, looking at her with concern.

Diamond Iron Fan sighed, "He used to call us every day, but for months now, there has been nothing."

Diamond Bull King rose from his seat and pulled her into a comforting embrace. "Everything will be fine. Our son is a Diamond; he can take care of himself."

Diamond Iron Fan nodded, trying to find solace in his words. "You're right, my love."

Just then, they heard someone running toward them. "Your Diamonds, Red Son is calling," the Silver Gem announced, handing the D.S.C. to Diamond Iron Fan. She twisted the device, and Red Son's hologram appeared before them.

"Hello, Mother and Father," Red Son greeted, and Diamond Iron Fan let out a breath of relief.

"Where are you?" Diamond Bull King asked, his tone firm.

"My plan failed, but no worries, I have a backup plan," Red Son replied, flipping his hair in a prideful gesture.

"Red Son, why has your form changed?" Diamond Iron Fan asked, her eyes narrowing in concern.

"What do you mean, Mother?" Red Son inquired, slightly confused.

"Your hair is now in a ponytail, your royal robe looks more like a trench coat, and your pants are a lighter blue," she pointed out.

Red Son gently kicked something under his desk before responding, "Oh, yeah, sorry, Mother. But I think it makes me look more... royal."

Diamond Bull King sighed, "We must get back to work. My son, I will send the coordinates to the rocket."

"Yes, Father," Red Son agreed, twisting the D.S.C. and ending the hologram call.

Red Son sighed, relieved to know his parents were okay and that the call had ended. "Can I get up now?" Mk asked, crawling out from under the desk.

"What were you even doing under my desk?" Red Son questioned, rolling his chair away as Mk stood up and dusted himself off.

"I didn't think you'd want your parents to see me. Besides, you didn't give me enough time to leave after I gave you that weird device, remember?" Mk explained, as Red Son's expression shifted to one of realization.

"Sorry, Mk. I guess I wasn't paying attention," Red Son admitted, scratching his cheek.

"It's fine. Well, I have to go," Mk said, stepping toward the entrance.

"Mk, why don't you stay?" Red Son asked, his voice unusually soft, causing Mk to stop in his tracks. Mk had freed Red Son a week ago and often snuck out at night to see him, though he couldn't quite understand why. "I mean, it's Wednesday, a day you like to spend alone. Why don't you spend it with me?" Red Son's tone remained gentle, a stark contrast to his usual spoiled and psycho demeanor.

"I would, but if I'm gone any longer, the others will look for me," Mk replied, continuing toward the entrance. He scanned his hand on the scanner and waved goodbye before the entrance closed behind him.

Mk made sure Red Son couldn't leave, then exited the lighthouse and began the walk home. When he arrived, his friends greeted him with a loud "Surprise!" They had thrown a surprise party for no particular reason, just to celebrate. The gems partied into the night, though Mei kept her distance.

After a while, Mk slipped away from the festivities and retreated to his room, stepping out onto his balcony. Mei followed him out, her expression serious.

"Can we talk?" she asked.

"Sure," Mk replied, as Mei joined him on the balcony.

"I'm sorry for being mean to you, Mei," Mk said, his voice filled with regret.

"It's okay. You've been going through a lot," Mei reassured him, her tone understanding.

Mk glanced up at the lighthouse on the mountain, then looked over at Mei. "If I were to bring Red Son back, how would you feel?"

Mei took a moment to consider her response. "It would take a while, and he'd have to pass my trials for me to trust him again. But I think I'd be okay with it."

Mk smiled, letting out a relieved sigh as they both gazed up at the night sky.

Meanwhile, Diamond Bull King had sent the Silver and Gold Gems to locate the other gems. When they returned with the information, Diamond Bull King began to laugh triumphantly. "Finally, I will have my revenge," he declared.
