Mei awoke in a sumptuous bed, its white fluffy comforter cocooning her in softness. As her gaze roamed around the room, she noticed everything was bathed in white hues, accented by delicate green jade decorations that gleamed softly in the gentle light. The air was imbued with a faint scent of blossoms, giving the space an ethereal quality. Looking down, she saw she had been changed into a stunning white royal silk dress, with flowing sleeves and intricate green embroidery that caught the light beautifully.

“Ao Lie, you're awake!” Ne Zha exclaimed as he entered the room, a vibrant energy radiating from him. Following closely behind was another gem, a striking figure with light blue-green skin and long blue hair that cascaded down his back like a waterfall. Eastern dragon horns sprouted majestically from his head, and he wore a flowing blue robe adorned with green accents, a blue jade gem situated where his nose should be.

“You! I remember you! Where am I? WHERE'S MK?” Mei demanded, her anger bubbling to the surface as she focused on the unfamiliar gem.

“Calm down, little cousin. Your memories might be a bit scrambled. Do you remember me? I'm Ao Bing,” he said, taking a step closer but maintaining a respectful distance.

Mei felt her irritation spike. “WHERE IS MY BEST FRIEND?” she shouted, her voice echoing in the pristine room.

Ao Bing exchanged a glance with Ne Zha, who had stepped beside him. “The Ametrine is just fine,” Ne Zha assured her, though Ao Bing raised an eyebrow in skepticism.

“You go by Mei now, right?” Ao Bing asked, attempting to ease the tension.

“Yeah,” Mei replied tersely, crossing her arms.

Ao Bing nodded slowly, then stepped forward and gently grasped her hands. “Welcome to the family, cousin.”

Mei quickly pulled her hands away, but Ao Bing remained calm. “Come, the rest of our family awaits,” he said, turning towards the ornate door framed by intricately carved jade.

Confused, Mei hesitated until Ne Zha added coldly, “Do as you’re told, and the Ametrine will not be shattered.” With a heavy heart, she fell in line behind Ao Bing.

Meanwhile, in a room painted in deep crimson, Red Son sat on the edge of a king-sized silk bed, keeping a vigilant watch over Mk's gem, which lay nestled among a sea of plush blankets. The atmosphere was tense, illuminated only by the flickering shadows that danced around him. Suddenly, Red Son's shadow twisted and morphed into Macaque’s shadow, marked by the glowing X over his eyes. A sinister giggle echoed in the air, causing Red Son to spring to his feet, summoning his fire axe in a defensive stance.

“Oh, little fire prince, why are you doing this?” Macaque taunted, his shadowy form flickering ominously.

“Who are you to stop me, hmm, shadow?” Red Son retorted with a smug grin, trying to mask his growing unease.

Macaque's expression turned unamused, his voice dripping with disdain. “Oh, come on, little diamond. What do you think will happen here? Do you honestly believe Mk will be happy that you took him from his family and forced him to be your bride?”

Red Son's hair ignited in flames, fueled by his mounting anger. “You know nothing of our relationship!” he growled, gripping his axe tightly.

Macaque shifted closer, still in his shadow form. “Your relationship is toxic. Your love story began when you forced him to chain your fusion down. You’re still trying to control him; you've never truly been in a relationship,” he replied, his words slicing through Red Son's defenses.

With every word, Red Son's rage intensified. Macaque used his shadow powers to glide across the floor, finally materializing behind Red Son in his true form. “Let’s make a deal,” he proposed, his voice smooth yet menacing.

Back with Mei, Ao Bing led her to an expansive throne room adorned with four majestic thrones, each intricately designed and set with glistening jade gems. One of the thrones was occupied by a stunning green jade, who rose gracefully, his long white hair intertwined with green strands, and his eyes glimmering like emeralds. He approached Mei with a warm smile, cupping her face gently.

“Welcome, Mei. You have been chained to Earth for so long. Do you remember me?” he asked, his voice resonating with kindness.

Mei shook her head, a flicker of sadness crossing Ao Run’s face before he masked it. “I am Ao Run, the West Jade Dragon and father of Ao Lie.”

Mei's eyes sparkled with realization. “So wait, that makes you my granddad?”

Ao Run nodded, beaming with pride. “Yes, Mei, we have much to discuss.”

Hours passed as Mei shared tales of Earth and her friends with the other jades in the room: Ao Qin, the red jade of the South; Ao Shun, the black jade of the North; and Ao Guang, the azure jade of the East. Their faces reflected a mixture of fascination and concern as she recounted her adventures.

Eventually, Ao Run called for Ne Zha to escort Mei to her quarters. “There’s a spare change of clothes in the closet,” Ne Zha mentioned as they walked through the elegant hallways.

Mei glanced at the closet, then turned to Ne Zha. “I need to see Mk!”

Ne Zha looked away, the tension palpable. “I can’t.”

“Why can't you?” Mei pressed, frustration boiling over.

Ao Bing, who had quietly followed, stepped in. “What’s going on, Ne Zha?”

“I do not know of the Ametrine’s whereabouts,” Ne Zha replied, his tone defensive.

Ao Bing raised an eyebrow. “And why not? Why did you even take the gem?”

Ne Zha sighed. “The Red Diamond ordered for the Ametrine. I know nothing else.”

Mei’s anger flared. “I’m going to beat up Red Son!”

The other gems exchanged glances. “Mei, explain,” Ao Bing urged calmly.

“He came to my home pretending to be our friend, only to unleash his father! I can see that was not an entirely bad thing, but he forced me to fuse with him, and then Mk was trapped in that fusion for months!”

Ao Bing gasped, his hand covering his mouth in shock.

“When I got my back, he was never the same! I swear if Red Son is trying to do something to Mk, I will end him!” Mei vowed, her determination burning fiercely.

Ao Bing looked to Ne Zha, who met his gaze with understanding. “We will help you,” Ne Zha declared.

Ao Bing nodded in agreement, causing Mei to blink in surprise. “Wait, what?”

Ao Bing stepped forward, his voice steady. “His actions are unacceptable. Ne Zha was only doing his job, but we cannot stand idly by. An Ametrine from Earth could spell disaster for everyone.”

Without hesitation, Mei pulled both Ao Bing and Ne Zha into a tight embrace. Ao Bing hugged her back, but Ne Zha remained still, allowing the gesture to unfold.
