The monsters made it to the temple and kicked open the door, scaring the Jade gem hybrid. She took out her dragon sword and aimed it at the monsters. The shadow monster growled and snapped its fingers, summoning shadow chains that grabbed onto the hybrid and took the sword away from her. The shadows also tried to chain the fire monster, but the flames burned them away. The fire monster dragged the shadow monster toward the travel pad, where door icons of a sun and moon lit up. The doors opened, and the two monsters entered the temple, with the doors closing behind them and the shadow chains disappearing into the shadows.
"MEI, ARE YOU OK?" A light blueish-pinkish gem with six eyes, six arms, and seven feet tall, ran in and saw Mei with her sword pointing at the temple door. "Something entered the temple," Mei said. Dumortierite's eyes went wide as they unfused into Bloodstone and Sandy. Bloodstone took out their weapon, and Sandy formed water spears, both aiming at the temple door.
Inside the temple, the fire monster searched up and down the room, while the shadow monster hissed and growled. It needed both of them to open the door, so it sat in a corner while the fire monster searched. Finally, the fire monster spotted a purple and yellow bubble, jumped up, and popped it.
The temple doors opened, and a gem emerged with a purple crescent moon-shaped gem in a bubble. This new gem had orange hair shaped like the sun, light yellow skin, an orange tail, and golden eyes, and was wearing armor. The gem dodged all the attacks from the weapons.
"Wait, Sun Wukung?" Bloodstone asked, staring at the sun-shaped gem on its chest and holding up their hand for the others to cease fire.
"Oh, so you know who I am? Wait, who are you, and where am I?" Sun Wukung began to ask until he saw the gathered gems. "Did you guys reform?" Sun Wukung tried to move closer, but Bloodstone stopped him.
"Look, I don't know how you are here, but we are looking for two corrupt gems who ran into the temple," Bloodstone said. The sunstone seemed to think for a moment before responding. "Oh, sorry about that. Hmm, how do I say this... but that was us. Sorry about that," Monkey King said, holding up the yellow bubble.
"THAT WAS YOU!" Bloodstone yelled as they defused into Pigsy and Tang. Pigsy ran up to the sunstone with his pan. "Oh, well, not the shadow one; he's in the bubble," Monkey King said, holding up the bubble.
"Alright, great. First, we lost MK, and now we have to deal with new people," Mei said, sitting down with the sunstone looking over.
"Ao Lie, what did you do with your form? Not that I am judging, but..." Monkey King began to ask, but Tang got in his way.
"Oh, we haven't introduced the new us. Mei, I am Tang; that Spinel is Pigsy, the lapis is Sandy, and Mei is Ai Lie's child, who gave up his physical form for her to exist," Tang said as the sunstone sat down on the floor.
"What has happened these past centuries?" Sun Wukung asked.
