Monkey King used the teleportation pad to transport Mk to a familiar island, the very place where he once retrieved the Diamond Bull King's gem in a yellow bubble. As the island materialized around him, Mk gasped, "I've been here before... Wait, this is where I got Diamond Bull King's gem in the yellow bubble." His voice started off cheerful and loud but quickly trailed into a quiet tone as memories of that encounter resurfaced. Monkey King shot Mk a curious look, raising an eyebrow as Mk awkwardly scratched the back of his neck and averted his gaze.

"Yep, home sweet home. I actually made this island with the help of others. It was supposed to be the heart of the rebellion, but it seems it was forgotten over time," Monkey King mused as he led Mk further into the lush, overgrown landscape. Tang, always diligent, pulled out a notepad from his gem and began scribbling down the details.

Monkey King turned back to Mk, a glint of pride in his eyes. "Now, this is where I shall train you, Mk, to master the power of the hottest sun—a power equal to that of the Jade Emperor himself!" Sun Wukong declared, his voice brimming with excitement. Mk’s eyes widened, a mixture of awe and anticipation dancing within them.

"When do we start?" Mk asked eagerly, stepping closer to Monkey King, who didn’t move back, unfazed by Mk's enthusiasm.

"Well, first I need to explore a bit more and get reacquainted with the place. It’s been too long since I was trapped in the moon," Monkey King responded, his tone softening as his tail drooped slightly, betraying a hint of the burden he'd carried.

Mk, sensing the shift, hesitated before speaking again. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, kid," Wukong replied, motioning for Mk to follow him towards a cascading waterfall that shimmered with a golden glow.

As they approached, Mk's thoughts weighed heavily on him. "Am I supposed to be something bigger than just me?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty as they stepped into the cool spray of the waterfall.

Monkey King paused, placing his hand against the stone behind the waterfall. A yellow light emanated from his touch, causing the water to split, revealing a hidden cave. "What do you mean, kiddo?" Wukong asked as they ventured inside, the dim light casting long shadows on the cave walls.

Mk hesitated, glancing around the cavern. "Well, I am the reformed Qi Xiaotian, and I have your gem... I—" His sentence was cut short when Monkey King stopped in his tracks, his eyes fixated on an old hut nestled within the cave. The hut sat on a small rock under an open ceiling, allowing sunlight to pour in and illuminate the scene. A grand peach tree with golden fruit stood proudly next to the hut, while a smaller, delicate plum tree swayed gently on the other side.

Monkey King, snapping out of his reverie, suddenly spun around and brandished his staff, launching a surprise attack on Mk. "Alright, time to train! And don’t you dare go easy on me, kid!" Wukong's voice echoed through the cave as Mk instinctively dodged the first few strikes, though not without stumbling here and there.

Mk eventually summoned his staff hammer from within his gem, attempting a defensive maneuver, but Wukong used his stardust cloud to leap high, avoiding the blow with ease. "Kid, have you ever been in a real fight before?" Wukong asked, his voice teasing as he disappeared from sight.

Panic set in as Mk frantically searched for his teacher. Wukong reappeared behind him, delivering a swift strike with his staff that sent Mk flying into the cave wall. Before he could hit the ground, the stardust cloud caught him, gently lowering him back to his feet.

"I guess not," Wukong commented, tucking his staff back into his hair, which glowed a vibrant yellow as the staff disappeared within it. He eyed Mk with concern. "You good, bud?"

Mk nodded, trying to steady himself. "Yeah, I’m okay."

"Alright, starting tomorrow, we'll take things slow—newbie level," Wukong said with a reassuring smile. He gave Mk a few moments to catch his breath before teleporting him back home to rest.

The next day, Mk embarked on a mission with his group, minus Wukong, but soon settled into a routine: Sunday was dedicated to training with Wukong, Monday to missions with his team, Wednesday for relaxation, Thursday for hanging out with the other gems, Friday for training with the gems, and Saturday for smaller missions with Wukong. This cycle continued for two months, and though Mk appreciated the structure, he began to feel the monotony wearing on him. Luckily, Wukong’s training sessions became more intense as he taught Mk how to harness his gold vision, change shape and size, and defend himself without shattering his enemy's gem—a skill that puzzled Mk, but he was grateful for the lesson nonetheless.

One sleepless night, Mk found himself restless, staring at the purple sky filled with stars. He sighed, deciding to step out onto the balcony. As he leaned against the wooden railing, breathing in the crisp mountain air, he felt a gentle nudge at his side. Turning, Mk was surprised to see Nodlies, their fluffy tail glowing softly. The glow intensified as Mk reached out to pet it, filling the night with a warm yellow light.

Confused but intrigued, Mk continued to pet Nodlies’ tail, feeling a strange connection as the golden glow enveloped him. Suddenly, his surroundings blurred, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself surrounded by tall yellow reeds. Before him were two peach trees bearing golden fruit—one on a small island nearby, the other far in the distance.

Drawn to the closest island, Mk crossed over and was met with a familiar sight—a purple bubble with a familiar shape inside. His breath caught as he realized what he was holding.

"HEY, MK! I GOT BREAKFAST!" Mei's voice shattered the trance, and Mk nearly dropped the bubble in surprise. He quickly hid it within his gem before turning to face Mei, who looked at him with concern.

"Are you okay?" Mei asked, her eyes searching his.

"Yeah, I just... can't believe it's morning," Mk replied, glancing out the window to see the sun rising, casting a golden hue over the mountains. The day had begun, but something inside Mk felt changed—forever touched by the secrets of the glowing tail and the strange world it had revealed.
