Mk visited the lighthouse again, fearing it might be his last time. After entering the lighthouse and scanning his hand, he made his way into the secret hideout. "Red Son, I, um..." Mk started, but his voice trailed off as he looked up at Red Son, who spun around in his rolling chair to face him.
"Mk, stop stuttering," Red Son said as he stood up, causing Mk to let out a sigh.
"I'm keeping my end of the deal; you have to keep yours," Mk said, pulling a yellow bubble from his gem that held Diamond Iron Fan and Diamond Bull King's gems. He handed it to Red Son.
"Thank you. Maybe you can tell me the story while we walk?" Red Son suggested in a sing-song tone, placing the bubble into his gem.
"Oh, yeah, sure," Mk replied as he opened the door to the secret hideout, letting Red Son leave first.
As they left the lighthouse, Red Son raised an eyebrow at Mk. "What?" Mk asked, puzzled.
"Well, aren't you going to tell me the story while we walk to my escape plan?" Red Son asked with a cocky tone, and Mk realized his mistake.
"Oh, yeah, sorry," Mk said, scratching the back of his neck as Red Son began walking, with Mk by his side.

**Earlier that day:**
Mk was in the house, playing video games with Mei. They were immersed in a game based on the Journey to the West. Suddenly, Monkey King appeared in a flash of blue light, stepping off the teleportation pad and immediately walking over to Mk.
"Hey, kiddo, whatcha doing?" Monkey King asked, glancing at the TV screen while sitting behind the two others.
"Oh, it's a Journey to the West game. It's based on a story about you," Mk explained, while Wukong rolled his eyes.
"Of course," Wukong muttered before Mk turned to him.
"Wait, why are you here?" Mk asked, raising an eyebrow.
"A little birdie told me we might need to be prepared," Wukong replied cryptically. Mk shook his head, returning his focus to the game.
Minutes later, Bloodstone burst through the door. "Hey, the Diamonds are back, and they're looking for a fight," he announced. Both Mk and Mei paused the game and jumped up to join the battle.
Outside, Sandy was using his water powers to chain the Diamonds, who were struggling to break free. Iron Fan used her fan to blast Sandy away, causing the chains to dissolve. "Those Lapis Lazulis piss me off," Bull King growled as he spotted the other gems leaving the house—everyone except Wukong.
Bull King grinned and ran toward the mountain, scaling it with impressive speed. "Oh no, you don't," Mei muttered, summoning her Dragon Spirit. Just as she was about to fire, Bull King leaped up and landed in front of the gems, all of whom had their weapons ready.
Bull King swiped at the gems, who dodged the attack. Mei blasted him with a beam, causing his gem to glow green as the beam hit him. Bull King screamed in pain and grabbed Mei, slamming her hard into the ground twice. Mk summoned his hammer and slammed it into Bull King's stomach, sending him flying off the cliff.
Bloodstone rushed to Mei and used his healing powers on her. "I'm going after him, okay?" Mk said, ready to chase Bull King. Bloodstone was about to stop him, but Wukong intervened.
"Let the kid do it. Besides, if he fails, Macaque won't let Bull King get his gem, and I can still fight," Wukong said confidently, walking to the cliff's edge to watch the battle. Bloodstone returned his attention to Mei.
Mk floated down the cliff and reached the sand below just as Bull King went in for a punch. Mk dodged it and used his hammer to throw Bull King off balance. Iron Fan tried to assist Bull King, but Sandy's water chains captured her again.
Bull King landed a punch on Mk, pinning him down and preparing to use the same attack he had on Mei. But before he could, a flash of gold light struck him in the face, sending him flying 100 feet away from Mk. Now sitting up and breathing heavily, Mk saw Wukong standing beside him.
"Welp, at least you put up a good fight, kid," Wukong said, helping Mk to his feet. "No, it can't be. You were shattered centuries ago," Iron Fan gasped, breaking free of the chains and flying to Bull King's side. Bull King, now hurt by Wukong's kick, glared at him.
"Sun Wukong!" Bull King growled, his eyes burning with rage.
"The one and only," Wukong replied smugly. Bull King saw red. "YOU WILL PAY, WUKONG!" he roared, but Wukong simply shrugged, pulling his staff from his hair.
"Bull King, I spared you once, and if it were up to me, that would have been the only time," Wukong said, his tone darkening. His body flashed gold as he attacked Bull King from all angles, moving too fast for Bull King to counter.
Wukong then ascended on his stardust cloud, aiming his staff and throwing it for the final blow. "NO!" Iron Fan screamed, getting in the way and taking the hit. She poofed into her gem state, her scream drawing Bull King's attention just in time to see her fall, but not enough time to dodge the staff.
The staff didn’t poof Bull King, but Mk’s hammer, which Bull King had forgotten about, did. Mk caught both Diamonds before they hit the ground. "Nice catch, bud," Wukong said, no longer glowing as he approached Mk and bubbled the two Diamonds.
Wukong turned to Mk. "Kid, are you really going to go through with the deal?" he asked, concerned.
"I made a deal, so yeah, I have to," Mk replied, looking away.
Wukong sighed. "Fine, but hurry up. Your friends will be worried if you don't come back soon," he said, handing the bubbled Diamonds to Mk, who placed them in his gem and walked toward the lighthouse.

**Back to the present:**
Mk and Red Son had been walking through the Forbidden Forest for an hour, with Red Son listening to Mk's story. "Hmm, is that it?" Red Son asked, sounding unsatisfied.
"What do you mean?" Mk asked, confused.
"I mean, there must be more," Red Son replied, rubbing his temples in frustration.
"That's all I know. Sorry," Mk said, shrugging.
"It's fine," Red Son sighed, looking down at his device. "Oh, we're almost there," he added, while Mk silently hoped he wouldn’t have to say goodbye.
