*Anson's POV*
Piper and I finished getting our nails done, and started our shopping.
And now, being completely followed by Dyson and Parker.
We were in Urban outfitters looking at some cute rompers, well, I was since Piper was in the dressing room. Parker and Dyson were sitting on the couches outside the fitting room.
"Dude, can you stay here so I can go take a piss." Dyson looked at Parker.
Parker shook his head. "Go."
"Thank you." He jumped up and ran out of the store.
And then Parker came walking over to me.
"I like the blue one." He put his hands in his pockets.
"Good to know." I nodded.
"And the sunflower one is pretty." He pursed his lips.
"You done." I looked at him.
"Garret Thomas huh?" He raised his eyebrows.
"What about him?" I shook my head.
"Nothing. All I'm saying, is you can do better." He shrugged.
I pursed my lips and nodded. "Cause god knows I've wanted worse, right Parker?"
"Ani." He shook his head.
I rolled my eyes and started walking toward the dressing rooms.
"Anson." He yelled.
I shot back around. "What?" I shook my head.
"What did I do!" He threw his hands in the air.
"What didn't you do." I turned back around and walked in to the dressing room.
As much as I hate to admit it, Parker is right. The sunflower romper I grabbed was really pretty.
"Pipe you find one?" I yelled.
"Did you!" She yelled.
"On the count of 3." I yelled.
"1."
"2."
"3."
I walked out of my dressing room, and so did she.
She was wearing a really cute white romper with different colored lai flowers.
"I like it." I nodded.
"And I like the sunflowers." She nodded.
"You're welcome." We heard Parker from the couch. Whose now with Dyson again.
"Whole lot of ass for one romper ladies." Dyson crossed his arms.
"Thank you." Piper smiled.
"No." He shook his head.
"If we get another size up will you shut your mouth?" I gave him look.
"That's more like it." He gave me a small smile.
We went and grabbed a size up, bought our stuff, and went home.
*Parker's POV*
I have no clue what, 'What didn't you do.' means, but Jesus, I really need to know what I did.
I understand the 'wanted worse.' part.
Anson, she was my first ever crush. I, was also hers.
We pulled back up to their house.
The dads side by sides were in their driveway, so we knew they were back.
Anson took all their bags upstairs, and Piper went to the kitchen.
"Hey Pipe." I said as Dyson and I walked in.
"What's up?" She pursed her lips.
"What did I do." I shook my head.
"Oh no, I'm not dying." She shook her head. "Something you two need to work out."
"How when she won't give me the time of day." I raised my eyebrows.
"Same way I do." Hal and my dad walked in and plopped down at the table. "Piss her off to the point where she starts screaming everything that you did." He shrugged.
"Yes." I pointed at him.
"No." Piper shook her head. "That's how you get punched."
"She's never punched me." Hal shook his head.
"Because you're her dad honey." Sherry looked at him. "Anson is already pissed off enough at you, but she knows if she doesn't listen the bike and racing are gone."
"Yeah, that's true too." Hal nodded.
"You'd never take my bike away, right." I looked at my dad.
"I sure would." He nodded.
"Pipe, can you just try, to get her to talk to him." Dyson looked at her.
"I've been trying, for 4 years, but I guess I can try harder." She shrugged. "I am happy you're home though Parker." She nodded.
"At least one of you is." I nodded.
"Or you could just, you know, go home." Anson nodded and walked in to the kitchen.
"Sorry Sweetie, but this is home. Always has been, always will be." I shrugged.
"How was the mall my girls?" Hal asked as Sherry put dinner on the table.
"Well." Dyson looked at Anson.
"Shut up." She nodded.
"Anson." Hal crossed his arms.
She sighed. "He saw us getting our nails done, walked in, and said hi. Until Dyson had to go open his mouth." She rolled her eyes.
"You are not to be around him Anson Ryder." He raised his eyebrows.
"You do realize I am 16?" She gave him a look.
"Yes, and 16 is way too young for me to catch you making out in the back of a bike trailer at a race last month." He nodded.
"Oh shit." I mumbled.
"Right." Dyson let out a small laugh.
"Oh because you haven't done worse?" Piper looked at both of us.
We both pursed our lips and looked down.
"I'm not a baby." She shook her head.
"But you are mine, and your hymen is staying in tact til you're married."
"Now Hal, that is not fair when we buy that one condoms." Sherry pointed at Dyson.
"He will be 18 next month, she will not be." Hal shook his head.
"God I am happy I have you and not a daughter." My dad looked at me.
"Oh you snapped too Dan." Anson shook her head.
He nodded. "Yeah, I'm gonna give you that one. I did."
"Can we stop this conversation before something else is said?" Sherry looked at all of us.
We all sat in silence and ate for a while.
"So uh, when am I going to be able to ride my bike."I pursed my lips.
"Once the springs are-"
"We did it Ans." My dad nodded.
"Why." She shook her head.
"Because he needs his bike, we just did the clutch springs. It's still your work." Hal nodded.
She sighed. "Then, tomorrow." She nodded. "Just, can you wait for me to go over all the work I did on it." She pursed her lips.
"Sure." I nodded. "If you can not kill me."
"Don't tempt me." She shook her head.
"Well, she said something other than no." My dad nodded. "Progress."
"Speaking of progress, when are your try outs?" Hal looked at Dyson.
"Friday." He nodded. "You're coming too, right?" He looked at me.
"Are we talking football, because if we're talking football, yes." I nodded.
"We have practice." Piper nodded. "And I can stay here, right." She smiled.
"Yes baby. You may stay here." Sherry nodded.
"What level are you guys at now?" I looked at them
"7." Piper shrugged.
"8." Anson pursed her lips.
"That's great." I nodded.
"They're both doing very well." Sherry smiled. "They're actually going to be my trainers for the younger classes."
"What color are our Leo's this year?" Anson looked at her.
"Blue." She nodded.
"Finally. I'm done though, can I go upstairs?" She pursed her lips.
"Why don't you visit?" Dyson gave her a look.
"Why don't you suck my-"
"Yes, Anson, go." Hal nodded.
"Thank you." She rolled her eyes and went upstairs.
Piper went up with her.
"She'll come around." Sherry nodded. "She always does."
"I still don't know what I did." I shook my head.
"None of us do." Hal shook his head.
"She's Anson, she's the queen of passive aggressive." Dyson shrugged.
"But, you'll figure it out." My dad nodded.
"I feel like I need to figure out level 7 & 8 gymnastics first." I nodded.
"Good luck, I don't even know. I just move shit around and make sure they don't fall and die." Dyson shook his head.
"Oh it's just different skill sets. Anson's been doing it longer than she's been riding, that is the only reason hers is higher." Sherry shook her head.
Dad and I went back over to our house, spent a little time together.
But, around midnight, I decided I didn't want to go to bed yet.
In Phoenix, the sky at night was nothing like it is here in Helen.
So I decided to go sit on my roof for a little while. I'm not going to lie, sitting out here was the best place to actually think for a while.
I must have sat out here for like two hours, until the front door of the Cross's opened.
I figured it was Dyson and Anson that walked out, but, then they started kissing, and I realized that it was Piper.
Never expected it, mostly because Anson is crazy, but then again, she has clearly changed since last summer.
Which is what made me want to go inside and text her.
I crawled back down the siding, and back through my window. I flopped back on to my bed and grabbed my phone off my end stand.
P; you up?
It took a few minutes, but I did get a reply.
A; it's 2 am, what do you want Parker?
P; i couldn't sleep.
A; so you decide to message me, because Dyson is occupied?
P; OK, so you do know about that.
A; yes, i know about it. and i would like for pipe to continue staying here so keep your mouth closed.
P; ani please just tell me what i did.
A; again, what didn't you do Parker. goodnight.
P; Anson.
I waited for maybe 20 minutes, and got nothing.
Damn it, what did I do, or not do.
