Maloi's POV

"Geez. You'll go home sad bro, hindi natin nakita Stacey mo." Sheena teased at bahagyang inakbayan ako.

"Paano mo ba nakilala 'yon? Dami mong nasasagap na chismis." Mikha shook her head.

We're walking down the corridor of our school. Classes are done and since it's the first week of school year, wala munang practice sa theater. We had a meeting earlier and Colet's waiting for us at the gate.

"What's up?" Colet approached us.

"Well, this hopeless romantic friend of yours is talking about her 'crush'." Sheena said.

"Who? Stacey again?" Colet simply asked. Sa aming apat, pagdating sa mga ganitong usapan, si Colet ang pinaka walang pakealam.

"Well, do you remember the girl I've been telling you? 'Yong majorette from our rival school? She's Stacey! I heard Alas and Tomas talking about her earlier. She transferred here." I answered Colet's question.

"The tall girlie? Dude, 5'6 yon. Ano nga ule height mo?" Mikha butted in, showing her famous smirk.

"Oh bakit? Kapag may crush ka ba iisipin mo pa height mo?" I asked her back.

"Hmm, no. Pero ano nga height mo?" Pilit niya ulit.

I reach for her head at binatukan siya. "5'4." I answered. With that, the four of us started laughing. Parang mga gago.

Why am I even friends with them? We have different personalities, well, Sheena and I are both chaotic. We share the same brain cells. While Mikha is the quiet type, the mysterious one. You can tell that she's socially awkward but it makes the people around her adore her even more. Colet is the glue to our friendship. She knows how to act properly based on the situation. Minsan kapag hindi kami makapagdecide, she's the one making decision for us. We trust her, though. She's reserved but not timid. But regardless of our differences, I love my friends. They're my sisters.

"Coach Jazz asked me to consider not quitting volleyball." Colet sighed. She's the star player of the team, hindi ko alam bakit this year, she decided to not play anymore. Sayang din!

"Sus! Quit ka pa kase! Alam mo namang the volleyball team will not make it to the finals without you." Mikha said to her.

"I'll think about it." Colet replied.

After some time, their drivers arrived. Kung minamalas ka nga naman, habang inaantay ko driver ko, tumila ang malakas na ulan. The fuck! I didn't bring an umbrella. Kamusta naman daw 'yon? I ran to the nearest shed para hindi ako mabasa when suddenly, someone's rushing too. We bumped into each other and the next thing I know, basang basa na kaming dalawa.

People say that love hits you at the most unexpected moment. It's not who, or what, or why... It just is. It is even possible that the person passes you by, that you haven't even met, but your heart skips a beat. It's that feeling at the top of the roller coaster right before it plunges into the deepest drop. You know that your life is about to change.

Instead of getting mad and yelling at the person, I found myself staring at her. Hindi ko ininda ang lakas ng ulan and how ugly I may look like.

She's here. Right in front of me. I pulled her on the way to the shed. Without saying anything, I handed her my handkerchief para mapunasan niya ang sarili niya.

"Gosh! I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" she asked.

"I'm okay. Sorry I didn't see you running too. I'm Maloi, btw." I extended my hand.

"and I'm Stacey." she smiled. Gosh! She's an angel.

"I know." damn, bakit ko nasabi 'yon? Nakakahiya!
