Chapter 7: Paragraphs

Maloi's POV

Colet, Mikha, Sheena, and I are just casually sitting here at the cafeteria. Colet just got back from Palarong Pambansa. They won! Sa sobrang proud ko sa kanya, parang nagugutom ako at gusto kong magpalibre. It's our lunch time na rin kasi, meaning, the girls are about to arrive.

Mikha may not vocal about her feelings about Jho but I can see that she's still hurting. Colet may seem cool outside, but I know she's trying her best to figure out what she really feels for Jhoanna. Grabe! Buti nalang hindi ako nagkagusto kay Jhoanna, dalawa pala sa tropa ko may gusto sa kanya eh. Si Sheena lang ang masaya ngayon because she finally found her "the one".

About Stacey, I've figured out that it's okay to admire her without her knowing it. Siguro mas makabubuti na ganito nalang.

Na hanggang kaibigan lang ako. Though I'm still hurting about the idea of her suddenly abandoning me, I don't have a choice but to understand her. Just like my mom said, I should accepted that both of us are changing.

If we truly shared good things, we will always find our way to each other.

"Andyan na prinsesa mo." Mikha whispered to me as she simply pointed Stacey walking to that double door entrance of our cafeteria.

"Ang ganda talaga!" I exclaimed, I didn't mean to say it loud but I guess it's too late now. They're here and she heard me. Damn it!

"Who's pretty?" Stacey smirked.

"A-ah, 'yong ex crush ko maganda!" I reasoned out. I saw her eyebrows met at parang natigilan siya but when she saw Colet, she immediately sat beside our best friend.

Aba, Stacey! Sobra ka na sa pananakit!

I didn't realize na they're teasing each other na pala and sadly, nasama pa ako. Sheena even told the girls about me "gate crashing" my crush' birthday party. FYI, I didn't gate crash, nakalimutan lang ako i-invite.

But what made us all shocked was when Stacey subtly asked Colet to have a date with her. But Jhoanna interrupted their moment when she arrived with a guy named 'JL'.  They seemed close but there's something wrong about the guy's aura. I just can't figure out, though.

I looked at Colet and saw how her bright eyes became dark and her smile turned to frown. Naunahan ka ba, Colet? Kasi same.

When Jhoanna agreed to JL's ice cream date, Colet absentmindedly agreed to Stacey's offer. Great! But before she could notice that I'm being hurt, I gave her a reassuring smile.

Kaya mo yan, Maloi! Si Jak Roberto nga kinakaya eh. I remind myself.

"Are you sure about your date with Stacey?"
Sheena whispered to Colet while looking in front, acting listening while our teacher is discussing.

"Yes, it's just a friendly date." Colet answered.

"Oh come on! My grandparents started with a 'FRIENDLY DATE'" pangungulit pa ni Sheena sa kanya. Pasalamat nalang talaga kami at hindi kami naririnig ng teacher namin dito. Dude, Math pa naman 'to!

"Yeah, my grandparents too, look at them, they're dead now." I butted in.

"Don't mind them, Col. Besides, you need a distraction from JL and Jhoanna." Mikha said but she also looked at me and gave me a sad smile.

I know Colet's only doing that friendly date because she was hurt seeing Jhoanna with JL but I'm hurting too. Imagining Stacey's giggled through the phone call while she was talking about Colet was already painful. What more if they go on a date alone?
