Maloi's POV

Sunday afternoon. While most teens would be out playing around, Stacey and I decided to catch up with our schoolwork. We're inside my room at my grandparent's house.

"Ahhh!" she growled.

Shifting my gaze from the book I read, I checked on Stacey. As always, Stacey has her head slammed on the book and the table, with her arms hanging limp on her side.

"Stacey, the words won't magically jump from the book to your head, no matter how hard you pound your head against it." I said.

Still not lifting her head, Stacey mumbled "too much .. barain overload .. gotta snooze..." even stomping her feet to emphasize her point. What a cutie.

As I have done so many times, whenever Stacey would have these tantrums, I walked up to her and knelt by her side. I grasped Stacey's arms and placed it on her neck, and automatically, she hugged me and rested her head on my shoulder. She relaxed into my hug and breathed deep, inhaling my scent. This always seems to calm her down.

"Sleepy?" I asked, softly brushing her hair with my hand.

"My head is about to explode," she said, sounding like a child griping to her mom. Responding to her childish behavior, I put some space between us and stared at her eyes. "What does this baby want?" I playfully cooed.

Without breaking eye contact, "take me out?" she said, batting her eyelashes at me and giving her brightest smile.

"Not a chance. We still need to finish our assignment." I kissed her cheek and walked back to the table.

Like a scolded child, Stacey went back to her studies, but she would sigh and heave occasionally, as a sign of her discomfort.

Hours passed and I suddenly felt hungry. I went to the pantry and made a sandwich for the two of us.

"Stacku, come, let's have some snack" I said while creating a mini 'picnic' in the middle of my room. I placed a towel on the floor and scattered pillows for us to sit on. Setting down the sandwiches and drinks on the floor, I asked her to sit beside me.

"What is it?"

"Ham and cheese, specially crisp, made for you by the best chef in the Town. Oh, and the chef specifically took out all the fatty parts because you hate those," I said, chomping down on my sandwich.

She took a bite, "hmm, this is delicious! I think I have to hire this Chef as my personal chef, so that she will cook for no one else but me."

"I doubt if you can afford her. And I heard this Ched is very picky in her clients, you might have to fall in line." I said with all seriousness.

"Well, in that case, I would have to bribe her."
