Maloi's POV
"Okay, I'll make sure she will be there at 8 pm later." I said and ended the call.
I put down my phone on my study table and closed my eyes. I'm in my room while my friends are out finishing some school activities. I rubbed my forehead and squeezed the sides of my head as I felt an impending headache.
How did I get myself in this mess?
I slumped on my hair.
It's been 4 months Maloi, you should already have gotten used to this feeling by now. Of waking up every day to see her and be with her, but knowing that you don't have any right to hold her.
You're so scared that you'll fall back into the trap. that you have deliberately built walls around yourself. Your fortress has been so strong, that you pushed her further and farther away. And while your circle of friends still stay together, it has just actually made you feel how big the empty space is beside you.
And that hole is becoming bigger and it is eating you up. You want the pain to end.
"Everything set for tonight?" Nagulat ako nang biglang magsalita si Mikha sa likod ko.
"Why are you here? Akala ko kasama mo 'yong iba." I asked her.
"Ang lungkot doon eh. Colet's eyes are still sad because Jhoanna left without saying anything. Gwen and Sheena went to the hospital dahil sa hindi namin malamang rason. Aiah being Aiah, makulit pa rin." she said calmly and sat beside me.
"Wow! Parang hindi ka malungkot na nawala si Jhoanna ah!" I teased.
"I am. Basta! Teka, aren't you going to ask about Stacey?" she smirked.
"Para ka namang gago!"
"Ayan tayo eh, martyr. Magkaibigan nga tayo." she shook her head and laughs.
"Okay lang. I can simply walkaway para hindi masaktan araw-araw pero hindi ko kaya. Mas okay akong nakikita siyang masaya sa malapitan kesa sa magpakalayo ako at magtanong kung kamusta siya." I replied.
"Awit! 'yan ayaw ko sa'yo eh. Anyway, everything set for tonight na nga?" she asked.
